Lock it down.
Shimano's XT Quick Release Skewers aren't the lightest on the block, but deliver a level of quality and secure hold that "featherweight" skewers can't touch. The enclosed cam mechanism is smooth operating and easy-to-use, plus the finish perfectly matches the rest of the XT group.
The XT Skewers are sold individually. Choose either a Front or Rear model for traditional MTB and many cyclocross hubs (10x 100mm, 135mm). Steel shafts. Black. Claimed weight: 57/64g.

Campy no longer makes their stainless steel chrome quick release skewers. I have some on my old steel Colnago. I wanted some internal cam skewers for my newer carbon bike. Shimano is about the only company that has internal cal skewers. I have a Campy bike, but these work just as well as the Campy's. Yeah, they are a tad heavy, but Shimano thinks that quick release skewers are a safely item and weight for this component is secondary. They don't require a lot of effort to lock down. Smooth action, well make, durable, and will look nice with any bike. These are the best. I think the Ultegra Quick releases weigh a couple more grams than the Dura Ace. Great deal. This is coming from a Campy guy.
