Description
Ride off into the sunset and beyond.
A new tread pattern updates the incredibly flat resistant Marathon Plus, which continues to be the go-to for touring, commuting and recreational use. Features include the newly-developed Smart Guard puncture barrier, a belt made of a special flexible rubber that is especially resistant to thorns and shards. The outer rubber is extremely hard wearing and features a grooved tread for traction on dirt and gravel roads. The Marathon Plus also has a reflective stripe on the sidewall for enhanced visibility.
This version of the Marathon Plus is available in 700c x 25mm (25-622 ISO; 115 Max PSI), 700c x 28mm (28-622 ISO; 100 Max PSI), 700c x 32mm (32-622 ISO; 95 Max PSI), 700c x 35mm (37-622 ISO; 85 max. PSI), 700c x 38mm (40-622 ISO; 85 max. PSI), and 700c x 47mm (47-622 ISO; 75 max PSI). Wire bead. Black/Reflective Stripe.
Please note that due to its extra-thick tread, this tire runs ~2mm wider/taller than typical Schwalbe tires. As such, the ISO width printed on the sidewall is actually greater than the common size printed on the tire (example: 700c x 35mm = 37-622 ISO). To avoid confusion, we sell this tire by its common 700c measurement, not its wider ISO measurement.

Reviews
I had always wanted to try Schwabs, so when the hybrids needed new tires I was lucky enough to find these on sale. I replaced both wifes and daughters. The tires are well made and both family members enjoy the ride. I believe many great miles are in our future.
I'M ACCUSTOM TO STICK WITH WHAT WORKS FOR ME AND WHAT I KNOW.I'm not rich.I don't believe in investing things that are useless in my life.I work hard for my money. So when I'm focusing just on my ride I want no interruptions. No flats,I love these tires.Get these on your bike. You won't be disappointed.A fellow bicyclist turn me on to Schwalbe back in 2007.Since then I saved so much money and time.It pays off for sure-I promise you.Happy Cycling my friends
These tires are very well built and feel robust. The ride feels safe and solid. Purchased to replace a set of the same tires that held up for many years. Great street tire that give confidence against the many Class A road hazards littered along the asphalt of our cities.
I've been riding Schwalbe marathon plus 700 x 28 on my steel cross commuter bike for 6 years. 22 miles round trip on pavement, year round. Perfect product not a single puncture flat and still commuting one original tire - flattened off on the top and lots of nicks in it but plenty of tread and still no flats...can't bring myself to change it out with such good performance still. I really apprpeciate these tires.
Where I live, we have lots of garbage (staples, nails, glass) on the road. Of every type of tire I have used, this is the best one for the most common types of punctures. However, the ride and handling do not hold a candle to my schwalbe pro one tubeless. However, would not trade them for training.
Very nice tires so far. They've only been installed for a short while, but I'm sure they will live up to my touring expectations. I can tell there's a huge difference in the quality as compared to the tires that originally came with the bike. The 700c x 45mm tires mounted easily to my wheels.
I've been using the Schwalbe Marathon Greenguard tires on my XC bike that I use for commuting and have never had any flats or other issues. When it came time to purchase tires for my son's bike for similar usage, I went with the Marathon Plus tires as I believe that they offer even better puncture protection with a similar tire tread.
I love the Schwalbe tires - use them exclusively for my fifteen mile daily commute, and refer my friends to them exclusively for a great, consistent tire. I have witnessed a finish nail hitting the Green Guard protection and veering out the sidewall - all without losing air.
In 2016 I rode the TransAm across the USA (about 4300 miles). I had no flat tires on the bike the whole trip using 700x 35 tires. I think that says it all. I use them all year long, mostly on pavement but also on gravel.
Commuting daily on some of the worst urban roads I've come across I've suddenly stopped stressing about what's ahead and now enjoy my rides. It's true they are more difficult to put on and they're heavier than my previous tires, but so far they've made my ride so much more enjoyable I don't care. So far no more changing changing flats at night, in the rain, at temperatures below freezing!
I commute 10 miles a day in the Emerald City. I wanted a tire that helped my visibility during the short, rainy days of winter, while providing reliable durability for the potholes and debris encountered. This tire has succeeded at both. The illuminating strip on the sidewall is very visible, and the tread with Smartguard technology provides puncture protection. I am a fan!
I have read lots of good things about Marathons, but my expectations were exceeded. The grip-especially in rain-is excellent. Rolling resistance (70032) is very good compared to my old Gatorskin 28s. Overall I am very impressed and would highly recommend them.
I first bought the Marathon Pus tires (700 x 28) for wet weather and my training bike. I live in New York City and these tires provide me with an enormous amount of trust and confidence against pot holes, steel construction plates, and battered roads. I routinely ride 50 miles or more on all kinds of terrain and surfaces (mostly asphalt and concrete and occasional gravel) and have never had a flat. I bought the same exact tires for my niece. Recently I bought at set of 700x 25 Marathon Plus tires for my custome built $XXXX road bike. These tires have good tread and having more rolling resistance and weight then the Continental Grand Prix (700 x 23) tires that I have rode for more than ten years. You would not want to race on these tires, but they are ideal for dependable safe long rides, and club rides too.
I am retired and ride thousands of miles every year. I ride primarily on asphalt, but a little on crushed gravel. The tires work great on each. The only thing I haven't liked about these tires are they are a little more difficult to install than less robust tires that I have worked with.
These are absolutely the best tires I have ever had. I road from San Francisco to Portland, Maine, and never had a flat tire...4,000 plus miles, and continued to ride on them when I got home for another 1,000 or so. I have them on all my bikes and will continue to use them as long as they are available.

I have used these tires on a vintage Raleigh Touring Bike for the past 2 years. With nearly 1500 miles on them I am yet to have a flat. My most recent purchase will put them on my hybrid bike as I prepare for a trip down the Katy Trail this summer. Best tires I have ever used. Make sure you get the Marathon PLUS tires...not to be confused with just the Marathon version.
I use this tire on my winter commute bike, 27 miles round trip daily over surface streets littered with glass, sharp objects and crumbling pavement. 7,000 miles over the past 2 years, with only 1 puncture on the rear from a rather large piece of glass. Pretty reliable tire for sure!
