Description Ready For Any Urban Or Gravel Adventure
Have you been rolling around town on knobby mountain bike tires and thought to yourself, why am I working so hard? Continental has a solution for you. Throw on a pair of the Continental Double Fighter III 29" Urban tires and get where you want to go faster and with less effort.
Conti defines the 'double' in Double Fighter as the two qualities that make this tire rise above the rest — it rolls lightly and is quiet on paved roads, yet it grips on gravel roads and singletrack paths.
This tire is a perfect solution for turning a knobby-tired mountain bike into one good for zipping around the metro area.
On top of its fast-rolling qualities, the Double Fighter has great puncture protection from any debris that you might encounter.
Upgrade your 29er bicycle and get from point A to point B in no time.

I bought my Marin DSX2 for everyday transportation. It came with 700c x 45s, for the first tire change I mounted these. They completely changed the character of the bicycle. They roll easily, soak up nasty bumps, and work well both on pavement and the dirt trails that are part of my daily travels. However they are more prone to punctures than the road tires on my old Trek hybrid. I am using puncture-resistant strips inside the tires, and tubes with sealant; with these the incidence of flats is greatly reduced.

Great tires for mixed use

Removed stock super aggressive mud tire from my mountain bike . Place these Contis on since I'm mostly on roads during east coast winter . Faster smoother ride , and there still enough side grip for unpaved trails.
Perfect upgrade to transform my mountain bike to my winter cruiser / cold weather fitness bike .
