I'm 5'9 200. Hard to find bibs that fit. These do so XL for me.

Used them for the first time yesterday. Very comfortable. Glad to have them. On the recommendation of my son who told me that once you wear a bib you'll never again want to wear ordinary shorts. And these are great.

they are just plain comfortable with the best pad.

This is an update to my earlier review. The seams continued to come apart and the chamois was a third detached from the shorts. I called PI and they said they offer a lifetime guarantee - return them. I did so, and a week later I had a brand new pair of bibs.

Love these bibs, fit is always right on for me. Chamois is nice as well. Not excited about the newer elastic on the leg openings though. Already starting to roll just slightly, they need more elastic at the opening.

These are very comfortable bibs. Unfortunately, Pearl Izumi does not use an elastic stitching and some of the seams have required repair in the first month of use. Pearl Izumi is not the same quality it used to be.

Everyone told me to get bibs. I have to say, I am not overly impressed. I ordered the same size PI in cool shorts which fit great. The bibs are tight though. I suspect it is because I am long and thin. The shoulder straps must be pulling the short too tight. Next pair I will order a size larger.

I like this bib due to the light mesh straps, nice comfortable chamois, good compression in legs. Does tend to ride up some due to light amount of silicone grippers and I have fairly large quads.

Bibs fit good, comfortable, the best I've found so far. They are my 5th pair. Good for about 2,700 miles per pair then the chamois starts breaking down.

I have been riding with these in my rotation for 2 years now. I'm 6' 180 lbs and The L fits me nicely. Compared to other bibs these rise up a much higher in the front, on me about 3 above my navel. The straps are comfortable and the chamois is good for multi-hour rides. I've noticed the stitching coming loose around the chamois at the lowest point where the saddle edges hit the inner thigh, doesn't seem to affect the fit though. My only gripe with these is the sticky dots used to secure the legs have turned hard over time and they irritate my legs for the first few miles. I always wash in cold water and always hang dry, 2 pairs and they both have this problem with hardened gel leg gripper dots after about a year.

I have been huge fan of Pearl for twenty-five years. My only complaint has been their frequent re-sizing of the product line. For years I wore XLs in all their higher end bibs, tights, knickers, and jerseys. Then somewhere along the line they started upsizing for us fatter Americans. I was told by one of their inside reps that they now size their highest end P.R.O. line a little smaller closer to Euro sizing, but not as small as, say, Castelli or Giordana. I am 6'1 about 182-185lbs and these bibs fit me really well in XL. The pad is fabulous. My only quibble is that they are a tad short for my long legs.

I used these shorts to ride 2 centuries and LOTOJA this year. The pad is awesome. I've tried lots of bibs for long rides, and these are my absolute favorites.

Pearl Izumi quality has come a long way in the past ten years. When I first started cycling about ten years ago, I started out with Pearl Izumi gear but quickly realized that other brands offered much nicer kit. I'd been using Assos, Castelli, Pro Corsa, and Louis Garneau bibshorts for the past five years and have been pretty happy with them (although Assos quality/dollar has really gone down of late). I decided to give Pearl Izumi another try this year and have been using these bottoms for the past several months. The compression isn't quite as good as some of the other shorts, but the overall quality, fit and comfort is excellent. I've ridden several centuries with these and have never had an issue. I'd definitely buy them again.

Need a new pair as I wore out the last pair I had. Went with different brand from my local bike shop. Although new pair was the highest level, I got sore after 40 miles. Ordered another pair of p.r.o.s and it fixed my problem on long rides. I now will always order these bids.

This is the second pair of pearl izumi pro bibs I have purchased. The fit on this pair is slightly smaller than the original pair which are about 2 years old. They are my go-to bibs and have worn exceptionally well. The quality of construction is the best I have found in any shorts. Very comfortable on any length of ride whether it be road, mountain or cross cycle. I expect this pair to perform as well as the first.

Very comfortable bib fit but the pad isn't as good as I would have expected for the price and after a year the stitching is loose around the pad. I have a pair of Pearl attack bibs that have held up much better and are just as comfortable. Gonna have to try another brand for my high-end long ride bibs.

Needed a new bib short for a MS Society in September, I have purchased the same PI bibs before and was not disappointed. Rode the first day in a deluge, fit was great even soaking wet. Dried overnight after rinsing, rode the next 2 days in heat of Sonoma and Napa. Legs felt grat thru out the ride, right amount of compression and cooling, but the quick drying was invaluable!

I wear these bibs on road rides. The 1:1 chamois is extremely comfortable.

Great for any ride length, and well made. The only thing I must say is the sizing chart is a joke. Buy a size bigger unless you are in the low end of your recommended size.
