My biggest complaint with hydration was the fact it didn't come with caffeine. This stuff not only tastes good, the caffeine kick sure helps on longer rides.

I though I'd give Nuun tablets a try. Never again. Why?
Drop an Alka Seltzer tablet into a full Water Bottle. Drop a Cherry Vicks Cough Drop into same water bottle. Shake. Place in holder, ride.
Take a swig.
Yep, that's why.
I'll stick with Gu and CytoMax.

I've been using Nuun pretty much since their inception. I've found a majority of the berry flavors as well as the caffeinated flavors not only tasty but the extra caffeine kick is noticeable.
Additionally, I also love the fact that if you spill it on you (-dribbling down your chin, for instance) it's not sticky.

I keep a couple of these wrapped in Saran Wrap in my saddle bag to take with me in case I run out of G2. To me the taste is so-so but tolerable and would be better to have with you than nothing at all. I tried the Lemon Tea so don't have a taste comparison for other Nuun flavors.

I cycle in South Central Texas where it gets really HOT. I am forever grateful for Nuun tablets. I have no use for gatorade and other sugary supplements. Nuun does the job and isn't too sweet. I always have some in stock.

Caffeine, hydration, good taste. Just what I wanted in a road tab. Allows for longer rides. Love this stuff!!

Tastes better than the GU version I had been using.

These tablets taste great and are easy use. Just drop one tablet along with a lot of ice in water bottle prior to your ride. A little more expensive than the powders but much easier and less messy to use. Check out the July 2013 issue of Triathlete Magazine for some great ideas to mix these tablets together for more flavors and some other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options.

I was not my favorite flavor. If you want soda flavor, drink a soda.

This is a very easy to drink light electrolyte source. I find it easy to drink over long, 100 plus rides. Also, the package makes it easy to carry in your back pocket.

Nuun tablets have been a revelation for my longer rides. It is much easier on my stomach than a sugary drink, and I find that I am able to drink much more of it than even plain water. The salty taste is exactly what I'm craving on a ride. Super easy to bring along in the small tube they come with.
After a long ride I used to have huge problems with headaches (a few hours after finishing the ride). I tried eating a lot of salty foods, chips, etc without success. The electrolytes in Nuun don't actually include salt (NaCl) it turns out, but replace all of the other salts your body is missing after sweating out on the bike.
As other commenters have mentioned, sometimes can leave a dry mouth. For me though, the trade off of feeling great rather than cramping at the end of a long ride is 100% worth it. Great product, give it a try!

Grape is my flavor of choice and not bad when mixed with Hammer Gel

Effective electrolytes.
Mild flavors.
No sugar.
Options with caffeine.
It's possible to use double tablets for stronger mix, but I don't.

I bought the lemon-tea it was awful. I bought Nuun tablets before and they were okay but I don't recommend the lemon-tea. Better to make your own tea and add lemons and ice. This stuff just tasted bad.

Just returned from two weeks of riding multiple passes over 8300' in the eastern Sierra and used NUUN for the first time. The lemon-lime taste was far better than I expected and I did not have any cramping after riding. The area is semi-arid and I drank lots more water than I do at home in PNW and found NUUN to be palatable and seemingly effective. I like the electrolyte-only approach-hold the sugar. I plan to buy more.

Nuun many flavors for you all your picky taste bud. Cut it in half use a whole pill they fit in the pocket in the saddle bag, this way you can mask the taste of that unknown water source from that rusty fountain. Give's electrolytes to the body! Good price.

Light taste, easy to carry, lots of flavors. I like all but one flavor. Simle electrolyte mix, no sugar.
The option to have caffeine is great for really long rides.
I've tried most flavors, like all but 1.

Works well in my Hydo-pack. I can feel the difference especially on long rides.

one of my water bottles holds a nuun electrolyte drink, the other plain water.
my recovery time and general energy during a ride seem better with the nuun product than with out.
Nuun actually does include Sodium (Na+), as well as Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium. I agree with every thing else in your review though. Nuun is an easy and tasty way to stay hydrated while riding!
