My oh my.

Zipp's Nest Research and Development Department took in their golden 303 wheelset and turned out one that was pure magic. Using a revised carbon layup that was dialed-in by pro riders hammering over the famous cobbles of the Arenberg Forest, the Zipp 303 NSW Carbon Clinchers are the lightest and strongest 303s yet. An updated ABLC™ SawTooth™ dimpling pattern provides even better aero efficiency and crosswind stability, and ImPress™ graphics make an aesthetically subtle but significant upgrade performance-wise by printing the logos directly onto the wheel so the work of the aerodynamic dimpling is unaffected unlike with traditional wheel decals.

Zipp made sure to provide ample deceleration capacity to match the NSW 303's increase in speed. Along the outer edges of the rim, you'll find their industry-leading Showstopper™ brake track which incorporates molded-in grooves for consistent wet-weather performance along with extremely strong and abrasion-resistant silicon-carbide particles in the resin. In combination with a rough media-blasted finish, the result is unparalleled braking power and manipulation even in the wettest of weather.

It's not just the rims that passed through The Nest's speed-multiplying program either. The 18 front / 24 rear Sapim CX-Ray spokes are laced to an improved Cognition™ hubset that features uses Axial Clutch™ technology that reduces drag by using a magnet-operated 36-tooth freehub mechanism that disengages when coasting. It also features star-shaped flanges out back along with a scalloped hub shell on the front that serve to reduce the loads placed on the bearings for extended longevity and smoothness.

Claimed weights are 640 g / front, 785 g / rear, 1425 g total. 45 mm rim depth. Rider weight limit is 250 lbs. Includes titanium quick-release skewers, Silca valve extenders, wheel bags, Zipp Platinum Pro Evo brake pads, Zipp 700c x 20 - 28 mm inner tubes, and rim tape.

Signature will be required when taking delivery of this product.

So quiet

I have these on my caad10 and have been using them for about 2 months. They do everything really well (climbing, braking, carrying speed, cross winds) to the point that I don't notice they're there. I guess that's what makes them great. I haven't used them in the wet so can't comment on that. Compared to the latest mavic cosmic pro sl, the braking on these feel a notch above or at least is less dramatic, which is a plus for me.

The hubs are really quiet when coasting

Faster than I am
by Len Gerber

As I get older it is harder for me to keep up with the group I ride with. We are all looking for a means to get faster. The Zipp 303 NSW wheels Certainly makes me faster especially on the descents and flats. I think climbing is a wash, neither faster nor slower than before. The wheels look sharp on my black and red BMC . And as some of us believe, it is better to look good then to be fast.

Solid wheels
by AndyS

These are solid wheels. They came out of true within the first week but after I had them fixed they have been great. They are fast. I need to give them some time to make sure the wheels stay true but overall , they are a nice wheelset. So much faster than a conventional wheelset. I paid a lot for these and really expected better quality control for such a pricey wheelset but I would likely buy from Zipp again.

I would have given a five star rating if i didn't have the issue.

As great as the reviews suggested

Fabulous wheels, very easy to accelerate, very smooth and quiet (except for the braking noise, which I suspect is common to all carbon wheels). They catch others going downhill presumably due to low friction bearings. They let slightly more road vibration through than my old non-carbon wheels but I am definitely prepared to put up with that for the gain in responsiveness, control and smoothness.
