Description
Shimano's Flagship 11-Speed Chain
The reigning champion of the Shimano 11-speed chain lineup, be it road or mountain. Decades of Japanese engineering and refinement have brought you the most technologically-advanced chain Shimano has ever delivered. The Shimano Dura Ace / XTR CN-HG901 11-Speed Chain features an asymmetric plate design and an ultra-low friction SIL-TEC surface treatment for higher performance and longer life.
SIL-TEC plating on the links and rollers makes for a chain that runs quieter, lasts longer, and sheds mud better than normal zinc-nickel plating. Hollow pins on the HG901 minimize weight, but the chain is still strong enough to handle the high-torque of electric motors for use in e-bike applications.
Features:
Shimano's highest end 11-speed chain
Quick link included
SIL-TEC Coating for improved chain life, durability, lube retention and shifting performance
For Shimano 11-speed road and mountain drivetrains (compatible with Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105, XTR, XT and SLX)
Includes 11-Speed Chain Pin
Compatible with E-bike systems
Weight: 246 grams

Used this to replace a KMC that just wasn't right, the KMC made noise on my Campy drivetrain, this chain is great, no more noise.

Nice chain
I am having my first experience with Dura Ace, 9000 group set. I had never spent this much on a chain. It very smooth and quiet.

Shimano's flagship, holds wax well
Gave my Ultegra drivetrain a little more snap. The hollow link pins offer 11 grams off the Ultegra chain, but personally I'm happier about the extra surface area it provides for wax.

Shimano, always high quality and reasonably priced.

When it comes time to replace my chain, I go between Dura-Ace and Ultegra depending on what's available at a good price. I have been extremely happy with both and wear seems to be about the same. Just keep it lubed (about every 300 miles) and wipe it down after every ride.

My old chain had about 7k miles and while I didn't think it was that worn, this new chain made a noticeable difference in lowering the noise.

Excellent chain

One of those non-glamorous non-carbon parts that is so underrated but so essential. Shimano knows WTF they're doing, and this chain is perfect. Works slick with my Ultegra groupset.

I use these chains on my road and mtb shimano equipped bikes. The Pin seems to work well, and I carry a master link in case of an emergency.

It's Shimano, all you need to know!
My go to chain. It runs quieter, smoother and lasts longer. Hollow pins make it lighter as well.

Shimano, KOM

I ride approximately 5,000 mi/yr and refit my mount with a Dura Ace 11sp chain at or around 3,000 miles. How do you not have confidence in Shimano? The rest of you can have Sram, Campy and KMC. I'll stay with ol' blue.

The Best for a Reason

I've been using DA and Ultegra cassettes for 20 years. I typically use Ultegra on my trainer wheel and DA on my road wheel. The DA has outlasted the Ultegra by 21 year in and year out. With a matched DA chain I usually get about 4000 miles of road riding before replacing.

Durability not as long as Shimano Ultegra Chains. But prefer to use this as the rest of my bike has Dura Ace components. Lighter than Ulegra.
