Get the protection you need.

When the going gets tough, the tough seek out the Rampart All Road Plus Tire from Teravail. This 700c road tire is designed to conquer the asphalt, no matter how neglected it is. Escape the pristine but heavily trafficked asphalt for the freedom of gravel backroads and the forgotten blacktop from yesteryear.

The Rampart is available in two different version, based off of the type of casing used. With the Durable version, Teravail's woven Aramid fiber reinforcement between the outer rubber and inner 60 TPI casing is twice as strong as Kevlar with less weight. While the Light & Supple version foregoes the additional puncture, slash, and abrasion protection in its quest for the lightest, most supple tire available.

  • Tubeless ready All-Road tire designed for traction, comfort, and durability.
  • Available in two widths: 28c and 32c.
  • Durable casing option adds puncture protection.
  • Light & Supple casing option for improved ride quality.
  • Also available in 650b sizes.

One tough tire

For such a thick (and heavy) tire, it seems to provide a pretty smooth ride. (Did a roll-down test with my 32c's, 50psi was the fastest.) Compared to the Vittoria 32c I had been using, these are a bit harder to get on the rims, but still much easier than certain others (Conti's, etc.). As for durability, only time will tell, but given how thick they are, I wouldn't doubt it. (Did a couple of pretty nasty gravel roads without a problem.)
