Description
Fast By Name & Nature
The all-new Sidi Fast is a speedy road cycling shoe — both by name and by nature. Thanks to its fast closing system, you can be ready to ride in moments while still retaining style and comfort.
It has three bolt holes to accommodate any road-style cleat.
Techno-3 System — SIDI's Techno-3 System dials in fit along the entire length of the shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. SIDI's famously reliable and replaceable closures are improved by an all-new proprietary SIDI Wire material that is completely non-binding for intuitive and effortless on-the-fly adjustments. Like most SIDI small parts, the Techno-3 System is serviceable and replaceable.
Sidi Heel Cup — Reinforced cup that stabilizes and supports the heel. Anatomically shaped plastic reduces heel slip and provides increased power transfer. They also provide additional foot protection in the event of a crash.
Replaceable Heel Pad — For walkability, Sidi cycling shoes include a replaceable polyurethane heel pad.
Carbon Composite 20 Sole — The Carbon Composite 20 Sole is in nylon and injected carbon fiber. The nylon keeps the technical features unchanged over time. The result is a light and stiff sole. The central part of the sole is graduated, with a millimetric scale, to facilitate the correct fixing of the cleats. Equipped with replaceable polyurethane heel.

Reviews
1) Cleat bolt holes vs slots limiting the cleat adjustment to just that of the cleat instead of using 'slots' to allow cleat to be placed in the correct position.
2) Cleat bolts located more forward which makes it impossible to get the cleat located correctly.
3) Narrowest last (sole) design so that many cyclists 1st and 5th metatarsals are not making contact with the sole of the shoe.
4) These issues are common for all Sidi shoes.
This is my third pair of Sidi shoes, I also have Shimano, Gaerne, and Bont. I've worn the Sidi Fast for a few rides and so far I am pleased with the fit. The location of my cleats, Speedplay, is not an issue. I also use an insert to replace the OEM one but I do that on all my shoes.
I would advise you to disregard negative reviews of these excellent shoes. Anyone who's been riding more than a few years would know that all Sidi shoes are high-quality, hand-made Italian shoes, built on a rather narrow European last. I have a narrow foot, and I am grateful that Sidi is business! If anything, this model is roomier than my past Sidi shoes (more like a standard D). Narrow is good in cycling. You don't want your foot to spread when applying a lot of force (unless you want sore feet at the end of the day). If you have wide feet with short toes, then perhaps Sidi is not the brand for you, although they do have a "Mega" option on some of their models for people with wide feet. Regarding the cleat holes, they are in the same place as all other Sidi soles: exactly the right place for proper alignment, and they offer plenty of adjustment, at least with the Look cleats I use. They don't offer fore and aft slots, and that's probably a good thing, as it will keep inexperienced people with faulty ideas about metatarsal alignment from putting the cleat in a bad position! Sidi makes excellent high-quality shoes with rigid soles for serious riders, and this model is no exception.
