The Mythos has truth behind it.

When the course calls for speed, the IRC Mythos XC Tubeless Ready 29 Inch MTB Tire can carry loads of it both on the straights and through the corners. Compact and lightweight knobs keep the tire rolling fast while providing stability and control with low-profile tread down the center and higher lugs along the shoulders. IRC's Micro-Gauge casing provides an improved seal for tubeless applications while also shedding weight so you can stay competitive on the trails.

29 x 2.10”. Claimed weight is 655 g. Made in Japan.

The Mythos has always been a favorite to basic trail riders and XC racers from the beginning. Heck, because of the lightweight and durability I remember the Mythos being standard equipment on bike shop Schwinns(not Target, etc). It rolls on hardpack great and grips rocky conditions as well. Its a fast lightweight tire. Not very good in muddy conditions though. Decent grip as a rear tire when climbing steep hard pack.
