Not as good as old Ibex.

I've been a fan of Ibex for years, but the quality of their bike clothing seems to be headed south. These shorts are a step above most brands out there, but by comparison to previous incarnations of Ibex shorts, they are substandard. The leg grippers are dicey. Biggest complaint it the pad. The pad on my older pair was comfortable and indestructible. On this pair, the pad seems cheap for a $ pair of shorts, and it does not fit as well - kind of sticks out rather than conforming to my butt. The wool is still great, and I will never go back to polyester shorts as long as wool is available. Thinking of looking at other brands the next time I need a pair of shorts.
