Like a Y-wrench you can bring with you.

The idea for the simple yet effective design of Fix It Sticks tools came when Wisconsin Cat 3 racer Brian Davis had a mechanical on his front derailleur while training at home. Fortunately, the problem was easily fixed after he reached for his trusty Y-wrench, and that's when Davis thought how convenient it would be if you could take the functionality of your 3-way-wrench and put it in a package portable enough to stow in a seat bag.

Since then, Fix It Sticks have successfully been funded on Kickstarter for multiple versions of this innovative concept, and what you see here is the robust, steel design with replaceable magnetic bits. Their two-piece nickel-coated 4140 CroMoly bodies are machined in Wisconsin and feature strong Neodymium magnets to secure the 1/4" bits. With the two pieces separate, the narrow profile means you can reach tight places like water bottle bolts to get them started, and then for higher torque, slip one piece into the other for a T-handle shape you can really wrench on. When all is right again, just decouple them, slip them easily into your saddle bag, and be on your way.

This replaceable bit version includes 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm hexes plus Torx 25 and #2 Phillips heads.

Great tool to carry ...

Have you been chided in the past with why do you haul that thing ? Yet, more often than not, it hasn't been me that has needed a road-side repair and the typical bicycle tool bundle can be bit awkward in some tight spots... Yep,

I've even fashioned a hanger splint using one piece of this with a couple of zip ties - you guessed it - on a riding partners bike !

Much better than a traditional multi tool

I got this as an impulse purchase and am really happy with it. So much that I'll end up using it for things around the house and not just bike-specific tasks. Most other multi tools either don't have everything I'd want or have things I'd never use, so this is a great option since I can pick out exactly what bits I want. Otherwise it works great and the bits are available at any hardware store so it's easy to add to the collection or replace them. The compactness is also nice - I keep this in my race toolkit and barely notice it's there.

Best out there. Light, compact and allows a shop quality tool to be used roadside. Highly recommended.
