Castelli’s Arrivo 2 Thermo Headthingy is a stretchy, tubular neck accessory, also called a neck warmer or gaiter, made of Castelli’s Thermoflex fabric. Thermal yet lightweight, the Headthingy provides substantial insulation and warmth without adding bulk. Thanks to its versatile shape and fabric composition, it can be more than a neck gaiter; other uses included (but aren’t limited to): headband, balaclava, and bandana. When things warm up, the Arrivo 2 Thermo Headthingy folds up into a compact, pocket-sized shape for easy storage.

Available in multiple colors.

i have several headthingy's but this is my first thermo one. even though it is a bit tighter than the others it is my go to piece in the bitter cold. blocks the wind amazingly and is warm without the bulk. highly recommend this addition to your kit if you are a winter enthusiast.

This is a good thing.

I bought this thing a few month ago and I think it is very useful. I have had neck gaitors before, but the Headthingy is both a neck gaitor and it can be a hat. It is relatively thin, so it won't cramp your neck when used as a gaitor. Also, because there is so much of it (it is 18-inches long) it can be used to cover your chin and neck and the back of your head, or doubled when used as a hat. So far this winter (12 to 40 F, wet, snow) it has been da bomb.
