Description Guaranteed Softer For Smoother Rides
A comfortable saddle from day one, the B17 Softened is an ideal saddle for commuting, touring, and general use with treated leather for a swift break-in period. Made in England, Brooks uses only the finest premium vegetable-tanned leather for strength, beauty, and durability. Their workshops have been crafting Brooks' iconic leather saddles for more than 150 years. Leather is a naturally breathable material that provides a unique type of well-being. The leather top is suspended over the saddle rail to create a suspended molded seat, similar to a hammock, for tailored lasting comfort. Journey after journey, this leather naturally molds to the unique shape of the rider for a more comfortable ride.
A comfortable saddle from day one, the B17 Softened is an ideal saddle for commuting, touring, and general use. With vegetable-tanned leather treated with special waxes for more supple performance straight out of the box, the B17 Softened is fitted with eyelets to be laced to the desired tension and to preserve the saddle shape. Finished with black steel rails and machined steel rivets, the B17 Softened is a comfortable bike seat for those who want to avoid a lengthy break-in period.
The Brooks B17 Softened Saddle uses aged Nubuck leather for an ultra-soft change of pace. This softness is achieved by adding a lot more moisturizer to the leather during its preparation (tanning) process. By softening the leather earlier in the tanning process, the break-in period is much shorter and requires less maintenance. For those who enjoy a saddle that is customized just for you, you're sure to love this ultra-soft saddle.

It's Not all that soft

I'm not dissatisfied, there is a bit of softness to the finish, but if you think this is broken in, you might want to think again. It is like any other new Brooks, hard as a hockey puck.
