The Vittoria Randonneur is a classic, long-lasting and very flat resistant tire. Great grip on wet surfaces, and lightweight for how burly it is. Plus, it comes in white!
They call it the Randonneur for good reason - just like randonneur riding, this tire goes and goes... High mileage.

I've been riding this Vittoria Randonneur tires for the last 2 years. I have very little reason to change away from this tire set. As a daily commuter, I have only had 1 flat. They are durable enough with a replacement every 6-8 months. These are by far the best bang for your buck tires.

Got the 28's and they're closer to 25's when inflated. Ride well, never gotten a flat, low pressure makes them cushy if a little sluggish.

I rode a pair of these for one season and the wire casing on the INSIDE of the tire came unwound causing tiny pinhole size flats. it was annoying. they roll fine and mount easy enough but the build quality is crappy. I went back to gatorskins...

I just cannot seem to wear this tire down. It has been word down to the red inner layer for a year now and I am just testing how far I can push it, and seems to just keep on rolling. Very comfortable, good grip, puncture resistant and much more comfortable than some of the harsher tires like the Maraton or Armadillos. This is great for commuting or fall-spring riding. Not a race tire for sure, but great for other purposes.

I love riding these tires - great supple ride, great traction in most conditions, great flat resistance but you will always fear the day you find yourself trying to change a tube by the side of the road. I ride these on my touring/commuting/cyclocross bike. Due to the many functions of this bike, I change tires frequently for the different roles, and putting these tires on is always a struggle. Never before have I ripped a tube trying to get a tire on but I have with these. After racking up just enough wear to justify replacement, I am finally giving up on these and moving on to something else. If these fit as well as the other tires I put on this bike (Kenda Happy Medium and Maxxis Mud Wrestler) I would keep riding these and then, when fully worn out, replace them with the same.

I made an address mistake when ordering these and the tires were sent back to Oregon after traveling all the way to NYC. The rock stars at Western Bike Works immediately shipped out a replacement pair BEFORE they had received the original misaddressed return. They've earned my business for life (and have kindly taught me to check my shipping address in the future).

I really enjoyed how the tire grips the wet pavement in the city and on the road. Comfortable ride and reflective stripe can be seen from quite a distance. Have not experienced a flat yet tire. Seems quite durable.

Bought this bc it was on sale & fit my wheel set. Overall, good tire.

I have put 760 miles on these over the past month, mostly commuting with a few group rides. Surfaces vary from pothole ridden surface streets to bike paths. Absolutely no flats thus far. My old Specialized tires were getting flats more frequently after 3,000 miles, especially on the badly balding rear tire. These have held up well and the 28mm width provides good traction in dry to moderately damp conditions. They do get a little sketchy in wet conditions, but I run them at the full 80 psi so that's to be expected on oily city streets. My old 32mm commuter tires seemd to provide slightly better traction when conditions were really wet. I tend to wear out rear tires faster than front due to my panniers, but this one seems to be holding up well. Hopefully it'll last upwards of 3,000 miles.

Very durable no flat tire. Not difficult to install if untake your time. Trick is to keep squeezing the tire all around and it will eventually pop in without using tire levers.

Many other reviewers wrote that these tires are difficult to mount, and I almost did not order them because of that.
I was able to mount both 700 x 32 (reflective) on my 700 rims easily without tools, just hand pressure using 28-32 x 700 tubes. If I had to take them off, it would be easy with just one or two levers. They were as easy to mount as the many tires I have mounted before from many other bike tire manufacturers in many other sizes. The only tires that I ever had in the past that were impossible to mount properly and had to be returned were Schwalbe.
Maybe Vittoria fixed the sizing problem?
The front tire seated evenly first try. The rear tire was a little off-I am a perfectionist-so I deflated and massaged it a bit and while not perfect-it seated pretty even. Most shops and others would have not even adjusted it after the first try.
It looks great on the bike and the reflective strip really lights up the bike from the side-great for safety.
I tested them at the beach on the very sandy beach paths for miles and they gripped extremely well.
I have only had them a couple of hundred miles so I can't comment on reliability, puncture resistance, and wear. Hope to update that in the future.

Perfect for my commute, training and touring. Never a flat!

I am a four-season cyclist and I was looking for something to help keep me upright and moving at a good clip during those months when narrow, training tires were too slick and before heavy snow and ice called for studded mountain bike tires. I have had these tires now for a little over a year and have logged about 2000 miles on them, the vast majority of which were commuting miles. A few times conditions were a bit dicey - ice covered roads that I should have used studded tires on - but the Vittoria's kept me snug and upright. No wrecks yet on these. Another point of interest are flats. I live in puncture vine country, so flats are just a way of life. However, I have had only one flat on these and it was from a roofing nail. All other potential bringers of doom have been shed-away. My initial interest in these tires was their grip, which has turned out to be perfect. My interest in flat prevention was not a concern, thinking it doesn't matter, you will get a flat. So their ruggedness has been a pleasant surprise. My one criticism is that they are not the speediest tires, but then they are not designed to be. A good purchase for trouble-free commuting.

These new 700x40 (which actual measure 43mm) are practically a game changer tire size for me. Covered 40 miles of Mickelson Trail and gravel road and they were a dream compared to my old 38s. Will run this combo in place of my 2.3" knobbied Fargo on a lot of local roads now.

This is a great tire for long wear and no troubles. I have put many thousands on these tires with out one flat.

I've had a number of different commutingcity tires. This was the only tire I've tried that I found did not handle wet pavement very well. I tended to spin the rear tire climbing steep hills and turning on the downhill seemed a little shaky.

Minimal flats and excellent tread life make these a great choice for commutes and errands. And reflective tires are a must for night riding

I've gone through lots of these over the years and I keep coming back. They're cheap, they hold up very well, and they're not too slow. Grip is good in all sorts of conditions. They aren't race tires, and fashion cyclists won't write about your bike on their blog. But for everything else, they just work. They also seem to be quite low profile they are the only 28 I've found that fits on my tightest-clearance bike.

I use this on my commuter bike and almost feel like I don't need to carry tire repair stuff. So far I have not flatted at all and have about 2000 miles on them. They grip great in all conditions. They do seem heavy and have what seems to be high rolling resistance but that all is expected for these type of tires.
