I bought the 27 14 Pasela tires for my vintage 10-speed. They fit the straight sided rims perfectly, with the 95 PSI rating they ridehande well and look good too. I have about 100 miles on these and have been through glass and rocks without problem. I bought these made in Japan tires, in part, based on other reviews of fit and highly recommend them myself. Enjoy your vintage bike!

This tire 27x1 has convinced me I don't need to upgrade ? to 700c wheels & tires after all. They are lightweight, good riding, good running tires. They absolutely blow away the Conti Ultra Sports 27x1 18" I've been using in ride and rolling resistance. Climbing & acceleration are in another league also due to the significantly lighter weight. The 27x1 size seems a perfect fit on my 27x1 14 Araya aluminum rims. The Pacelas mounted easily, are quite round and uniform SMOOOOOTH at higher speeds.

Absolutely the best tire for the money out there, period.
Like the other reviewers have said, it rides like a far more expensive tire. If you've only experienced cheap tires before, you will be amazed at the difference that a nice tire can make.
With the supply of 27" tires dwindling, this is the best option out there. It's the narrowest I've seen at 1" - which is just about the perfect all around width for touring even on dirt roads, commuting and training. It is also very resistant to flats. I've been through glass without any trouble - only a thick staple-gun style staple has punctured them so far.
I haven't tried the Pasela TG model yet, but I think these tires are great without the weight and cost of the aramid layer.

This tire rides like a tire three times the cost. I am astonished. I have one in 1-18 inch and one in 1-14 inch. Now my heavy commuter bike rides like a fancy, expensive bike. I can't say enough good things about this tire.

affordable, extremely light for its size and wire bead, last way longer for its weight, rolls great, run them at 90 psi rear and 70 front and you will be shocked.
Get a light tube, even better, put a latex in, it will work, and you will fly, maybe like a Pro Mich. with twice the ride quality.
