My favorite winter jersey!

I bought my first 2 Kucharik merino jerseys for my hubbie & me to wear on the tandem. This is one of the few men's jerseys that actually fit (it's got a little stretch to the knit). The wool is soft & comfy and nothing beats merino for feeling dry even when you're sweating. I wash & dry (on ultra-low) my jersey. There may have been a smidge of shrinking with the first washing. I live in Dallas, TX. 40 degrees is our personal cut-off. (Stop laughing you Northerners!). I wear this jersey with 2 base layers (both lightweight merino - 150 gr weight). Unless it's really windy, this is usually sufficient. Love this jersey so much, I bought 2 more this year!

I really like this product. For starters sizing is true to US standards. I'm 6',180 and always wear a large tee shirt. I found large was the right size with this jersey as well. When ordering clothing manufactured by the Italian designers (e.g. Santini and Campagnolo) I always go a size larger.

I like the length of this jersey as well for cool weather. It's longer then other jersey's I own and find the large rear pockets very accessible. If you're looking for skin tight this is not the jersey for you. On the other hand if you are looking for a comfortable fit with room for an additional layer underneath this should be considered. The quality seems first rate. I ordered it in orange and found that it is a bit duller then the Campagnolo jersey I own. This is the only small complaint I have. If you want Italian styling go Campy, if you want comfort and function consider this one.

Somewhat heaver than other mid weight jersey I own. I ordered a medium which usually fits me but this is much larger then that. I was hoping that washing it in warm water and putting it in the dryer would shrink it some but it didn't help.

Good quality construction and not itchy considering that it is wool.

I bought this jersey to replace one I'd worn out. The other one was a bit lighter than this one. I've worn the new one several times and it is comfortable and doesn't smell after all the consecutive wear. It has been fine in January in San Francisco but might be a bit thick for summer wear in warm climes.

I'm happy enough with the quality of the jersey, but it does not compare to the quality of my Smartwool jersey....that of course was 3-4 times the price! This will be a good layering jersey under my wind-stop layer for cold winter mornings. It is good quality for the price.

Great for longer rides

For me, this long-sleeve wool jersey is usually used on longer rides of, say, 60-plus miles in temperatures up to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on the coldest temperature for the day, I may have 1-3 (wool) layers underneath. The wool material in this jersey regulates the body temperature pretty well, does not itch, and does not stink like synthetic materials. The simple one-color jersey design may not be for everybody but it works for me.

I like this jersey because it is a heavier weight than most base layer wool products. It definitely smells less after several consecutive days of riding which makes it ideal for a commuter.

I use this for endurance riding. The XL is a bit short for me at 62 and 200 lbs, but it fits fine. Good quality build, as well.

Well made, good fit, great price. Just a decent lunch pail wool jersey. Perfect for winter commuting. Its got some quirks, the neck is a bit tight on me with the zipper all the way up. It hangs a bit below my jacket. The fit is relaxed, which isnt perfect, but isnt terrible.

Big, deep, reinforced pockets. Half zipper is long enough to get real airflow when you need it. Not flashy or blazoned with logo mania. The wool is good, but not as soft as my old swobos.

But, it does the job, its built to last, its generally comfortable, its wool (which is the way to go imho), and the price cant be beat.

There are better colors and better-fitting jerseys out there, but not for this price. This jersey is soft, warm, and a medium fits me well. I'm 5'8 155 lbs.

Dang near a perfect wool long sleeve jersey. Exceptionally comfortable, well cut to fit a cyclists riding position. Quality construction, warm, well thought out features.

For the price, you get an awful lot for your money, many other merino wool jerseys cost way more than this one.

Once you go wool you never go back. This jersey is perfect for Portland winters. I used it on a mid February ride and while others had synthetic jerseys which required they also sport jackets, I was very comfortable with a base wool long sleeve T and this jersey. The rear pockets are deep and roomy. I'm an average medium but I got this in Large so I could wear base layers beneath. If you want a snug fit they are true to jersey sizing.

I am very pleased with this wool jersey. I'm 6'1 and have a few extra

lbs and the XL fit perfect. I prefer the Merino wool over

any of the modern synthetics- it may sound strange but it keeps you

warm when you need warmth, and it lets you cool off when you need that.

This is my absolute favorite jersey to wear for almost all days here on

the Central Coast of California- for very windy days I bring a windbreaker

along just in case. The orange color has stayed vibrant though... well more

washes that I can remember- but one of best things about wool is that if you

can just let it air dry several times in a row and it doesn't get stinky- several

family members have confirmed this... or at least not complained.

We actually bought this as a gift for our son. The last time we visited he and I rode for a couple of hours in low 30 degree weather. He wore the jersey under a nylon outer shell and stayed comfortable. He loves it.

I bought orange for higher visibility to motorists. Kept me warm during a wet 200km brevet. Rear pockets are tall - so a bottle won't fall out, and they have elastic across top. Zipper is long enough to adjust cooling as conditions change. The tail is long, so that when bent over in the drops, the hips are covered with bright orange - so approaching drivers see that, not black shorts. Appears well made - after several washings it is as-new. The cuffs are elastic, so they can't get caught on things (bar ends for ex.). I wear a very thin base-layer in cold weather, and then do not wash this but every 2nd or 3rd use. I will buy another.

Wool jerseys are expensive but I wouldn't wear anything else. They adapt to different weather conditions far better than other fabrics.

Still the best winter fabric

Wool is such a great winter jersey material, I'm not sure why we ever got away from using it. Sure, some of the new fabrics are lighter, but unless you are racing, wool will do just fine. This was my first experience with wool after trying the other stuff, and I won't be going back. These jerseys have three features which makes them stand out to me. First, they keep me warm in a wide range of temperatures and have been comfortable. I have ridden anywhere in the mid 20's to mid 50's with no problem. When coupled with my Showers Pass Elite jacket, I stay dry and warm. I do have to open up the zippers on each to adjust for the different temperatures, but nothing that I can't deal with. Second, it wicks away sweat better then anything else. I find this a big advantage when I have to stop for any length of time. Lastly, it does not stink after after you sweat in it. Also, it's nice to support an American company that is making an great product!
