I've been using D-tech on my road bike and bikepacking rig for several years. It holds to the chain really well and lasts. I carry a small bottle for trips when I expect dry, gritty conditions.

Goes on easy. Solvent actually cleans the chain for you. After a simple wipe and roll of the crank and cogs you're done. Only drawback is the smell which reminds me of paint thinner and results in a headache but it quickly fades. Apply weekly for best results.

Works perfectly, runs clean, lasts forever.

My go to lube. I notice much better shifting using the Tech lube product than other brands that I have used.

Once you start using this chain lube you stop using others even when they are right in front of you. Chain is noticeably quieter and performs better. Also, collects less material that needs to be cleaned up.

After cleaning my bike chain, I put this lubricant on it and the chain seems to run smoother over the gears with less noise.

Great lube. Let it soak in, then wipe clean.

After decades of using the standard stuff, I found myself out of town and with limited options for lube. The local shop had this, I tried it, and fell in love. I use the green for everyday and dirty riding, and the yellow for bikes I know will stay clean. Lubes well, I definitely apply it less often than the other brands, and doesn't get too grimy or greasy. A little pricey, but the performance and that smell are well worth it.

I switched to Dumonde products on all of my bikes last year and haven't looked back. Green goes on anything that might get dirty or spend time in the wet, yellow on the dry bike. Lubes well, doesn't collect a lot of dirt, nice smell (yeah!), and cleans up nicely.

I have used this product for 8 years on mountain bikes and road bikes that are raced and have not found a comparable chain lubricant. Follow directions provided to ensure the best performance of this product. Worth every penny!

Been using the Dumonde Lite for years. Great product. Highly recommend this as your chain lube.

The chain moves very smoothly. There is some clean up needed after a ride on the frame under the chain, it's a little greasy & black.

A bike shop in Moab turned me on to it. Works for their big rental fleet, works for me.

A buddy told me about this chain oil...none better! They make several different lubes for several applications. Wippermann chains and DuMonde is the way to go!

If you read/watch Dumonde's recommendations for lube, it takes a bit of work at the beginning to strip off all the factory lube and then have the discipline to put one drop of lube on each link and don't lube again until the chain makes noise. Wiping it off each ride seems to bring an endless stream of dirt - where can the lube be? But the chain doesn't squeak. Although I haven't applied a second treatment yet, I can see that although this lube is pricey, it will cost less in the long run than some of the traditional wet or dry lubes.

I have been cycling for 10+ years, racing for about 8 of those. For years I used the lite version of this lube. Treat it as a dry lube. That means if the directions are followed, your chain is going to stay clean(er), but it will be louder, which is usually the case with wax and dry lubes. IME they lubricate your chain, but expect some noise after a 50-60 mile ride (unless you overlube, which will result in a quieter ride but a pretty dirty chain and drivetrain). This has been true for all dry lubes I have used. I recently took a chance with the blue (original) and now, unless I am riding through actual sandy conditions or MTBing in a desert environment, probably won't go back to yellow. Using blue, the chain is much quieter (my biggest concern) and if you thoroughly clean your chain and apply the lube as instructed while doing regular follow-up wipes and re-lubes, your chain and drivetrain will also stay miraculously clean. Yes, the blue is stickier, but IMO it does not actually collect much grime so long as the lube is not left all over the outside of the chain (drop into the rollers and always wipe well) plus you have the added benefits of a much quieter drivetrain. After my first ride I wiped the chain again as well as the chainrings and everything is still pristine. I only have a couple of rides with the blue but I am loving the experience so far.

This lube is very thin and hard to drip onto chain rollers without spilling a lot. A better application tip would allow more precise dosing on your chain while minimizing waste. The fumes are pretty horrible, and among the worst of any chain lube I've ever used. Don't apply this indoors and be prepared to leave your bike outside to offgas for a few hours after application...Contrary to other user reviews, I found this lube to break down and get dirty very easily. Specifically, a short 30 minute commute in light rain is enough to wash this off your chain. I bought this on a half-price promotion and still think it's overpriced, more noxious version of Rock n Roll Gold.
