Shimano's Ultegra Quick Release Skewers aren't the lightest on the block, but deliver a level of quality and secure hold that "featherweight" skewers can't touch. The enclosed cam mechanism is smooth operating and easy-to-use, plus the finish perfectly matches the rest of the Ultegra group.

The Ultegra Skewers are sold individually. Choose either a Front or Rear model for standard road hubs (100mm, 130mm). Steel shafts. Grey. Claimed weight: 56/64g.

B-Stock - This product has one or more B-Stock units available. These units can be purchased at a discount (see option select). The product weight specified is an approximate weight based on the manufacturer's specifications (if available) or our measurement of one or two examples. For most products, the weight will typically vary by 5% to 10%.

This famously problem solving skewer did the trick

I'd read that the Ultegra skewer was known to give a tighter grip on hubs, and since I'd had trouble with my rear wheel slipping out of the dropouts under load, thought I'd give it a try. Since installing, I have not once experienced the same problem. In this case, the product's reputation turned out quite right, at least for me.

Skewers that match the rest of the groupset - not much else to say. Wish they were a little less expensive, but I could say that about a lot of things.....
