Description

Bring the floor pump along for the ride.

Lezyne's Micro Floor Drive is a compact and meticulously designed aluminum hand pump that works just like your pump at home, thanks to a T-handle, hose and folding wire foot brace. All critical components, from the barrel and base to the shaft and handle are custom CNC-machined for precise operation and superior durability.

HP (High Pressure) technology furthers the pump's efficiency, making it easy to fully inflate road tires in no time. The 60cm hose provides plenty of room for convenient road-side use, and an inline pressure gauge provides PSI and Bar information, letting you when you're ready to ride.

The Micro Floor Drive uses a flip-thread chuck which creates an airtight seal against the valve, eliminating the need to hold the pump head during inflation and helping prevent damage to fragile Presta needles. For easy removal, the ABS (Air Bleed System) allows the user to release air pressure in the pump hose after inflation -- no elbow grease required. The hose conveniently wraps around the pump handle for easy storage.

The Micro Floor Drive HPG measures 300mm long, weighs 194 grams (claimed) and inflates tires up to 160 PSI (11 Bar). For use with Presta and Schrader valves. High Polish Silver only. Composite frame mounting bracket included.

I use it for a velomobile ( a recumbent bike that uses a monoque carbon fiber frame). I bought this because of the inline gauge but it's pretty small and hard to read at the angle I have to fill it at which is difficult but it still gets the job done. I bought also because of the elbow it comes with that makes it easier to get to the valve which is difficult to do because of the body being so low that makes it difficult to fill and see the gauge but is the best one I found and was as good as the Topeak. Road Morph w/gauge. I still like it and it is better than most mini pumps I have tried and because it does't have a lever to secure it in place that gives me more room to maneuver the head around more from different angles, you just push it on and that's it. It pops off once in a while at higher pressures but I am able to hold it in place most of the time.

A poor design compromise

While this is a great idea on paper, in reality it is a poor design. As a mini-pump, it's difficult to handle compared to other mini-pumps, mainly because of it's size and configuration. As a floor pump it's a disaster. It also doesn't hang well on the bike frame compared to true mini-pumps. I have a smaller Lezyne mini-pump and it's much less expensive and easier to use than this one.

Fickle head attachment

Really wanted to love this and haven't given up yet, but so far, I've been unable to thread the pump head without fully deflating tire. I get it pumped back up, but I can't imagine that's how it's supposed to work.

The little pump that could

Brought this pump on a European cycle trip for topping up tire pressure. Never bothered to buy CO2 cartridges since it was light enough to carry for emergency flat repairs. Pressure gauge seemed accurate enough to avoid overunder inflation.

This pump is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Works flawlessly and fits into a back pocket. It is so light that I take it with me in my back pocket on every ride.

Almost as good as a full size floor pump.

This pump works quickly, not as fast as a full size floor pump but it's close as your going to get at this size.

My only complaint is that the pressure gauge sticks a little, a quick tap with your finger every so often solves that issue.

Good Travel Pump

I was looking for a lightweight pump that I could throw in my bike bag for trips. It's a nice compact pump and the gauge is helpful. Ideally, it would have a bit more capacity.

We needed a small pump we could pack with our travel bikes for trips to Europe. This fills that need perfectly.

A very high quality frame pump.

Like all Lezyne pumps this one is very well made. When stowed the pump is well sealed from road dirt. it is capable of getting a tire up to or near full pressure much more quickly and easily than the typical pocket size frame pump. The pump itself gets five stars. My only complaint is the provided bottle mount mounting clip. With the pump on my steel frame with the clip on the seat tube the base of the pump sits nicely on the bottom bracket shell. I'm not sure it would work as well on a carbon frame with a sculpted bottom bracket. I think a more secure mounting bracket would be a definite improvement.

GREAT LITTLE PUMP has the power to pump my 80, pounds of pressure tires. I had to put a little RED tape on the gauge SO I KNOW WHEN TO STOP PUMPING because the numbers are small and hard to see in the low light BUT NO BIGGIE!!

the best hand pump out there.

Let me start by saying that, if you have a flat, in the middle of nowhere, any hand pump is better than having none. But not all hand pumps are created equal. For me, how fast a pump inflates a flat tire is the gold standard that any pump, hand or floor, must be judged. I have been using the Lezyne Pressure Drive Hand Pump since it first came out. It was and still is, a great pump, saved me multiple times when I had a flat. Very small but packs a punch. Still its small size is both its selling point and weakness. I primarily ride a road bike, and it normally take me 150 to 200 pumps to decently inflate the tire. But I was happy with this pump, until I finally made the decision to try/upgrade and purchase the Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HPG Pump.

This pump is bigger, but you could use a water bottle cage to mount it with the included mount, and it looks really beautiful. Functionally, it beats my old pump by a mile. Anyone who has used a hand pump knows that it is the actual pumping that is the most tedious part. You need to grip and stabilize the pump barrel hard and simultaneously push the plunger, The Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HPG Pump, is the closest thing to a floor pump that your money can buy. It is more stable, has a longer hose and it is very much faster in inflating a flat tire. I bought the one with a manual gauge attached to the hose, very convenient, but you do not need that really. The cheaper version without a manual or digital gauge, I think is more durable. This is an outstanding pump, and I could not recommend it enough. Get one!!

Best travel pump I've used, and light enough to carry all the time.

This is really an amazing pump. I bought this pump to take on a European cycling tour since travel weight was key. I was surprised by how well it worked and how light it is. The pump head screws onto the valve so you don't risk damaging the valve when you pull it off. It's got a small chamber so takes a lot of strokes, but it easily pumps up to 110-120psi without a lot of strain and the inline gauge is easy to read. I normally carry a CO2 inflator, but this pump is so light and easy to use that I just mounted it on the bike.

Highly recommended.

Great features in a small pump

Great small pump for Presta valves. OK for Schrader valves, but a 90 deg schrader adapter should be provided. I cant use this pump on my carbon fiber covered 16 in wheels on my Greenspeed Aero trike. I bought a $$$$$ Park Tool air inflator with a compact dual head that fits the access hole in my wheel covers.

Great pump but has flaws

Best on-bike pump I have ever owned but it is not perfect. Gets borrowed a lot.

Pro's

1. Screw in for presta (or reverse for schrader) valves - no worries about gaskets.

2. Light weight

3. Readable air gauge

Concerns

1. The tiny rubber top gasket (where pump handle goes into body) wore out very quickly, fixed with white plumbers teflon tape.

2. Air gauge gets stuck and needs occasional tapping

3. The pump holder is poorly designed- I put duck tape on pump body where it sits between the prongs, that stops the pump from slipping down. I also place protective velcro wraps on the bike to prevent rubbing and noise.

Attaches quite well to the bike. Lighter than the last one I had. Fortunately have not needed to actually use it. Yet. Im expecting a gauge to make it fairly easy to get the right tire pressure

unless you really want the high psi, there are cheaper pumps of the same quality, but few pumps in general look as nice as this one. I'd give full 5-5 quality and value if the handle were a bit wider or had a fold out extension.

As with most Lezyne products this is solid, well made and functional. I bought it to throw in my bike box for travel. It is not something I would want on a ride, nor is it a replacement for a shop floor pump. But it is good for filling up after reassembly on your next trip.
