Description

Next Level Inserts For XC, Downcountry, and Light Trail Rides

The Vittoria Air-Liner Light XC-Trail is an ultra-fast and lightweight tire insert for the performance rider or anyone looking to improve the reliability and performance attributes of their ride.

The new Air-liner Light lives by it's namesake, coming in at a scant 50g each and will go unnoticed to even the most finicky XC racer with no loss in the benefits of using a liner. Improved grip at lower pressure, greater tire stability, especially when cornering, and lowered risk of tire burping make this the leader in performance tire inserts.

Enjoy peace of mind with run flat protection. The foam expands in case of a puncture and will save your rims from impacts when running at low pressure.

Features:

  • Just 50 grams each
  • Durable - Lasts hundreds of riding hours
  • East to Install - You just need tire levers
  • Does Not Absorb Sealant
  • Fits 29" x 2.1"/2.4"
  • Includes 1 insert and 1 Vittoria 40mm Multiway valve

Bought these so I can run lower pressure (lower pressure = more grip and better rolling resistance). I've dropped the PSI 3-4 front and rear and have been very happy with the results. Also ditched carrying an innertube during races, because if you get a puncture that won't seal with plugs, you're kinda screwed because it's not easy getting these on or off and if you threw in a tube, you'd be forced to ditch the insert on the trail or toss it over your shoulder.

No flats yet, but maybe more spring.

I put a pair of these inserts on my cross country/marathon mountain bike. I don't notice the weight, they are feather light. I have not gotten a flat, so I cannot attest to riding on them with a flat. They are easy to install.

I got these so that I could lower the tire pressure to have a smoother ride. I lowered the tire pressure by 3psi (both front and rear). After a couple rides (not a ton of testing) I have not noticed a smoother ride. If anything, they feel a little more springy. I'm assuming the inserts are taking up air volume in the tire, like adding tokens to your fork. I reduced my compression on both fork and shock. They do feel a tad stronger on bigger hits.

Still not completely sold, but so far so good.

Didn't prevent a flat but allowed me to finish a race on one. Able to run a little lower pressure and the tire feels more stable in turns. Would recommend if you are racing technical xc terrain.
