I recently built up a couple bicycles with full internal routing using the Coefficient RR handlebars. There were limited internally routed stems available. I've had several sets of ENVE wheels and forks in the past and have always thought highly of their designs quality control.
PROS: Out of the box this stem looks great! The -7 option worked for one bike while the +12 was a better fit for the other bike. Both stems are comparable in design and filament. They also look great on the bike. The routing design is well thought out and worked very well with the Coefficient bars. I did like how ENVE separated the hose routing into two individual openings. Their tolerances were very tight but easily accommodate one brake cable. Adding a second shift cable would be tight but doable.
CONS: I was very diligent to maintain the same bolt configuration when disassembling these stems. In the build process one bolt was out of sequence and I found it wanted to cross thread easily. You will want to put each bolt back in the factory location when re-installing. Not a difficult task but a touch annoying. The spacers are cheap plastic and look that way. At this price point a higher quality material would be welcomed.
It will be interesting to see if this design holds up as more manufacturers join the internal routing game.
I have a new Canyon Grizl and got a great deal from WesternBikeWorks to add more bling when the time comes. With the Oil Slick SRAM RED chain, valve stems, and bottle carriers added now the bling is coming together. All of the products (mostly purchased through WBW) for the Grizl (and my other bikes) have been of high quality and I do receive my orders very quickly. I have had to return a set of pedals due to manufacturing problems, an it was not a big deal at all working with WBW to get it remedied. They have been my go to bike store for quite some time for a reason!
A little over 10 years ago I was still riding a double chainring CX bike. Up until the last lap, I was able to ride everything in the big ring but my legs were screaming and I clicked down to get some relief. Nothing happened. My front derailleur was full of mud and grass and the chain stayed on the big ring as I suffered up the hill. It was in that moment that I decided to ditch the front derailleur and begin a new struggle the struggle to keep the chain on the ring.
While the narrow-wide and clutch/tension systems work well most of the time they failed me at the worst possible times: attacking off the front or desperately trying to stay attached. Ive tried many of the options; some couldnt handle the full range of the cassette, some were heavy and clunky, and some just didnt keep the chain on.
The GnarWolf has, so far, kept my chain on and allows the full range of my 11-32 cassette.
This chain has been my go-to chain for use on the multiple E-MTB's I have owned. This chain provides many miles of smooth reliable performance and precise shifting. I just purchased a new Specialized Turbo Levo E-MTB and replaced the the new GX chain with this one and immediately noticed the difference. This PCXX1 chain is much quieter and the drive train shifts smoother. Plus, I know from thousands of miles of experience with these chains that they're extremely durable and reliable in all weather and terrain conditions. Highly recommend this high quality chain!
