Review by G. LedesmaProbably my favorites tires...by G. LedesmaCycling EnthusiastCupertino, CA8 of 8 customers found this review helpful. These may become my favorite tire after trying out the Vittoria Rubino Pro III Slicks, Michelin Pro4 Service Course, Continental GP4000 SII, and Veloflex Open Corsa tires.
I bought these in 700x25 sizes. Mounted on my 23mm rim, they measure about 27mm wide brand new, just a tad narrower compared to the GP4000 SII at 28mm.
Things I like
- Great balance of road feel, puncture protection, and durability (mileage).
- Availability in different colors on both 700x23 and 700x25 (if that's your thing)
- Good handling in inclement weather and bad roads
I've managed to get about 4,200 miles on the front tire and 3600 miles on the rear tire - the most I've managed to get out of the different tires I've tried. I decided to replace them preemptively without pushing it. There was some squaring and a lot of nicks, cuts, and bruising on the tread with some squaring, but nothing significant like significant wear of the material.
I'd definitely buy these again if they go on sale. They're a tad expensive at full retail of over $70, but at $30 they're a great deal.

Review by ColnagoNew tires make all the differenceby ColnagoCycling EnthusiastChicago, IL1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I use these road tires on both of road bikes. Depending on the rims it can be a bit tight to get a fresh set on but once there you are set as it may be more of the rims than the tire themselves. Due to the weather conditions (I ride in the Midwest) and different terrains I find the tires do not wear out over the course of season. Again, that can be a function of how much you ride but I normally start riding in March and finish in late November so I'm on the bike a frequent basis each week.

Review by JosephGreat feel and grip did not last one summer!by JosephCycling EnthusiastLong Island, NY2 of 4 customers found this review helpful.Hi, this is the second Vredestein tire. Each had a great feel and wonderful grip. The only lasted a summer. Tires did not last on a protected multi-use path, barely a thousand miles.
Being specific my rear tire wore way too quickly. Even after I checked religiously for proper inflation. Both after a summer were square and the treads were showing. Given my body frame and weight I was told to keep my tires at least 130 psi. Granted the second year I stopped and removed the worn tire before I had a flat. Learned my lesson.
The price at Western Bike Works was great but Ugh the tire wear is not worth the price even on sale. At this rate I would need three to four a year. Given my experience they should be great on slightly wet conditions racing I just would not use them to train.

Review by AnonymousBe careful about the fitby AnonymousCalifornia 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful.A nice light and durable tire for the money. I especially like the color choices.
But one of the tires wouldn't stay on my Rolf lan front rim. Had to buy a Bontrager R2 from my LBS. The fit is fine on the rear wheel though, both slid in easily without tire irons. Strange, variation in tolerances I guess. No flat spots on either rim.

Review by BIKE2nightTraining or race tire? BOTH!by BIKE2nightCompetitive RacerPortland, Oregon2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.Love these tires. I use to rely on Conti's 4000s however these are way better. These are light however durable AND the ride quality is identical to a race specific tire. Great tire for whatever weather is thrown your way.

And very great performance!by JasyvesCycling EnthusiastQubec2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. From somebody who does more than 8000 miles per year these tires offers very good resistance against puncture and are comfortable and with great performance. I tried many others before but now I never buy anything than Vredestein.

Review by Sam DeMartinoMy only tire for the past four years. by Sam DeMartinoCycling EnthusiastSavannag1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Very durable yet a smooth ride for an all weather rode tire. I have used them exclusively for the past four years. They come close to lasting one year (3600 mikes) for me. I used to experience flats periodically and have not had a flat since using these tires. I'm a fan.

Review by AnonymousFast and durableby AnonymousCycling EnthusiastBrooklyn, NY6 of 6 customers found this review helpful.I've been riding these tires for a couple of months and am quite impressed by their durability and speed. I haven't had a single flat yet, which is quite an achievement, considering that I mostly ride in Brooklyn, NY. My previous tires were Michelin Pro 4, Vredestein Gran Fondo and Conti Gatorskins. Only the Gatorskins are comparable in terms of durability, but they are heavier and slower.

Review by AnonymousGreat all around tiresby AnonymousDurham NC1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Ride is stable and confident around turns (25mm width at 105 psi). If they are like my previous sets of this line, they will be long wearing and puncture resistant. Great value.

Review by StevenAwesome mileage from these great tires!by StevenCycling EnthusiastRaymond,MN1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I tried these Vredestein all weather tires last year. They gave me a terrific run for the 1200 miles of safe use. They were much better than the Michelin Pro 4's I normally run. And still run on my other road bicycle.

Review by MeadyFirst Impressions - Fantastic Tires!!by MeadyCycling EnthusiastSacramento, CA16 of 16 customers found this review helpful.I generally run the 23mm Fortezza's on my bike at high pressure (125psi). The Fortezza's are a very fast tire with a tremendous amount of road feel, reasonable (but not fantastic) wear, and relatively durable. I actually loved the feel of them. With the knowledge that they were going away, I bought these Senso's 25mm. I'd been reading about how 25s added comfort without sacrificing speed. This is only a preliminary assessment as I have not put many miles on the tires, but I am delighted to say that so far I LOVE these tires. I can confirm that they have delivered a smoother ride without sacrificing an ounce of speed. If these prove to be as durable as advertised, you'll have to pry them away from my cold, dead hands...

Review by CannonballI trust these tires ! by CannonballNashville, TN2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.Whether I'm making a quick paced 30 mile local run or a week long tour across the state, the Fortezza Senso hugs the corners, provides security on downhills, and rolls over the rough country roads of Tennessee. Review by AnonymousAmazing contact and road feel.by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastSonoma County, CA3 of 3 customers found this review helpful.I rode the predecessor of this tire (Tricomp) for several years and enjoyed the handling and road feel. Prior to installing my new Sensos (23C) on my Specialized Tarmac Pro I used a set of Continental Four Seasons (25C) on a hilly century. Following the century I put on the Sensos and was flabbergasted by the difference. The Sensos blew me away with their road feel and descending capability. I don't know yet about wear so cannot yet give them five stars. So far I love these tires.

Review by AwriteGood tireby AwriteCycling EnthusiastCharleston, SC0 of 1 customers found this review helpful. Not having used the Fortezza Senso tire yet I can't comment on it. But if the Fortezza Senso is as good or better than the Fortezza Tricomp it replaces, then it's a very good tire. I presently have the Fortezza Tricomp (23c) on my road bike and have so far accumulated 3000 miles with only one rear wheel flat tire to mention. I ride 5000 milesyr approximately and the Fortezza Tricomp on my bike replaced two sets of Michelin PRO 4 Endurance tires which are also good. However, although the Michelin Endurance tires are slightly faster than the Fortezza Tricomps, the Fortezza Tricomps seem to last longer and have a better grip in sharp turns and wet pavements. Therefore, relying on me experience with the Fortezza Tricomps, I will buy the Fortezza Senso tires when the time comes to replace them. I ride the Fortezza Tricomps at 125psi and presently they they have outlasted the Michelin Endurance tires by 800 miles and still going strong.

Review by AnonymousWore out in three months!!!by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastLong Island, NY4 of 4 customers found this review helpful.Bought these tires and went for the slightly larger 25c hoping to extend the life of the tire as I am a big guy. In ten years of serious road cycling I have never had a tire wear out in three months. They have a great grip but no way do they last. Vredenstein claims they have good grip and fair wear... My front tire is their Tri-Comp which they discontinued. It has over two thousand miles and looks fine. I am an avid cyclist and regularly do 80-100 miles a week. After a summer, with two weeks on vacation, these tires did not hold up. Given the cost, it ain't worth it. My original wheel set lasted over two thousand miles and when I replaced them with a better wheels these tires were recommended... Other than a really good grip I am not impressed. Could have been a bad tire. Will see if the replacement holds up. If it does not... You will hear about it.
