Review by AnonymousGreat tires, fit by Anonymous1 of 3 customers found this review helpful. That are great tires. They are marked two different ways: 700x38c and 40x622. Mine definitely measured 40mm wide not 38. No big deal but the labeling is confusing, assume the larger size (40 vs 38).

Review by PNW biking liferBest early season CX tire I've ever riddenby PNW biking liferCycling EnthusiastSeattle15 of 16 customers found this review helpful. This tire is amazing, most confident inspiring, super fast on everything, hooks up in the corners, and yet brakes like it was made specifically for each one of those characteristics. Absolutely amazing! The center tread is a bunch of hexagons but they are at a slight angle, sorta like fish scales, fast rolling but the edges dig in and hook up when braking and cornering.

Review by AnonymousExcellent tiresby AnonymousI ordered the tires listed as 700x37. They are actually labeled 700x35c AND 37-622. For me it's confusing that the tires are labeled like this. But they in fact measure 37-38mm on my rims so the listed size is accurate.
The tires mounted tubeless easily and seem to be good quality with the moderate fast rolling, versatile tread I was looking for.

Review by ajwilkGreat tires for your gravel adventures...and on the pavement as well.by ajwilkCycling EnthusiastPortland, OR1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I was so impressed with my Vittoria Terreno Dry tires that I purchased these as a replacement set. They ride equally well on gravel and pavement and seem to be more durable than most tires and very puncture resistant, likely due to the graphene compound. I run them tubeless, but I'm sure they roll equally as well with a tubed setup.

Review by ChrisRolls nice on most surfacesby ChrisSEPAI have used this in 31, 35 and 50mm widths on multiple bikes. Tubeless setup is pretty straightforward and tires just perform on asphalt, cinder, real gravel and dry dirt especially as a rear tire.

Review by AnonymousGood all round tire for road or gravel. by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastNew England
Tread pattern works well on the road as well as dry off road conditions. I've had the 38's (40mm) that give a gravel bike feel due to volume and tried the smaller width 35's (37mm) that give more of a road bike feel. I'll stick with the 35's for any ride that's >75% road and use the 38's for known bad trail conditions. Tread wear is VG. Sidewall begins to show wear as fiber pattern emerges from rock rub but neither set has failed.

Review by A guyNice ride, v. good on both pavement and hard pack but it's a difficult tire.by A guyCycling EnthusiastChicago2 of 4 customers found this review helpful.Wanted a bigger tire for riding on hard pack dirt. Ride on a lot of pavement, too, just to get to the dirt. I like the 33mm size, it's a cushy ride vs typical road tires, and seems to roll just fine on pavement. I've used many different Vittoria tires over the years, some very good, some not all that great. I probably would not buy this again, so three stars. Based on actual performance, it would be four stars. But: it is very hard to get on and off a Sun CR18 rim. I had to buy a Koolstop tire jack & carry it with me. Also, you'll need two (not one) steel tire levers. Plastic won't work. This may be due to the rim, which is generally difficult to mount/remove tires, I don't know, but it is difficult. Wear seems kind of not great, the fish scales are mostly gone after not many miles. That's ok, I don't think they really did anything anyway, but. Also I seem to get a lot of flats with this tire.

Review by Eddie BigglesProbably my favorite all around tire.by Eddie BigglesSaint LouisI've been a fan of Vittorio tires for a little over 10 years now. I got these because I ride a lot of hard pack and road/chipseal to gravel. I was not overly impressed with their performance on some loose climbs, may have been pressure but I feel like the file tread hurt a little. Otherwise these things are bullet proof, I use MucOff sealant and I have never had an issue. I run 40s on two gravel bikes and I seriously just don't think about them. I'm probably going to put the 33s on my greenway bike.

Review by MitchGreat tire if you can install it.by MitchCompetitive RacerLaguna Beach, CA3 of 5 customers found this review helpful. This tire is VERY VERY VERY hard to install tire. I have been a professional mechanic going back to the 80's, so needless to say this is not my first rodeo. After much frustration I took this to my local shop (service only), they charged me $xx each to install the two tires and tubes. This was a massive bargain! Don't even attempt this without a tire jack (like the one make by Koolstop). Both tires required two mechanics working together, with one finally giving up and leading the Service Manager assist. He said this was hands down the hardest tire install he has ever done in his 30 years of experience (took 25 minutes of struggle to just get the first bead on).
These wheels are going on a vintage Alan cyclocross build (NOS from 1984). I intend to ride this bike, but my struggle now is what the heck am I going to do if I have a flat on the trails?? I will install some tubeless sealant and pray I don't get any punctures.

Review by DanTDurable gravel tiresby DanTCycling EnthusiastFlorida dry leveesThis is my second time buying these tires after my originals ones wore out. I use them on my gravel bike on the Florida levees which are rough dry gravel trails with sharp little rocks including broken shells. Im about 220 ibs and have used them hundreds of miles and never once had a flat. Will definitely buy same tires when the time comes.

Review by BAMFor hooked rims onlyby BAMCompetitive RacerKetchum, ID5 of 13 customers found this review helpful. It is not stated that these tires are only meant for hooked rims---not even on the packaging or is it shown in the tire pictures on this website. I only found after opening the packaging and unfolding the tire the printing on the tire "hooked rims only". It says all over that the tires are tubeless ready. The industry needs to straighten out their terminology. Bummed that I also paid overnight shipping to use these at an event last weekend. I have a 2.1 version of these tires on my bike packing bike and love them, but those larger tires don't have the hooked rim caveat which is what really caught me off guard with these 38mm's.

Review by Greg kennedyFast !by Greg kennedyFayetteville , Ga .The Vittoria Terreno Dry G2.0 Gravel Tire are the best for road and hard pack Gravel and theyre very fast on road and gravel. I have these on my gravel bike in my single speed gravel bike But one thing they are not good in sands in wet conditions on gravel roads but they worth the money I like them.

Review by TimQuality Tiresby TimNorcalThis is my third set of Terreno Dry tires. The latest set are the 47mm. They actually measure closer to 45mm mounted on 23mm interior wheels. I have used the 38mm in the past. They are a great tire that roll well and have ample grip in most gravel applications. They wear well and mount tubeless easily. Using Orange Seal they hold air as well as any tire.

Review by TonyAwesome fast gravel tireby Tonynorcal1 of 2 customers found this review helpful.Easy to set up tubeless
Tough enough so far (150 miles)
Fast on hard pack - good cornering traction. Fine for short sand sections.
Good in loose gravel.
Havent and probably wouldnt try in wet.

Review by moparspankySuper nice rideby moparspankyCycling EnthusiastEugene, OR1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Bought these on the recommendation of a Fondo review and I've got to say these ride bigger than their labeled size. I have these on a 23mm IW hookless carbon wheel and they inflate to over 41mm at 30psi. The grip surprisingly well, seem to roll reasonably fast (not as fast as a Gravelking, but faster than a G one all around) and are very supple. It's a perfect all around tire for gravel riding so far. The gravel roads I frequent are lots of 3/4-3" crush, packed dirt, and 'organic material', pretty much everything here has lots of 4-10% and I don't lose grip on these like I've done on my gravelkings.
