Review by MakumanWow! My favorite tire of all time!!!by MakumanCycling EnthusiastHonolulu2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.I rode conti's for quite sometime and heard great things about this tire. Got it on a deal of the day and are super happy with them. They seem to roll and roll and roll! Super comfortable. So comfortable that when I ride my other bike with 23mm continental's I have to double check if the tire is low on air or have a flat. Great tire in my opinion! You won't be disappointed. Oh and they also look spectacular on my black inc with gold lettering. Almost a perfect match in color.

Review by AnonymousSuperb Clinchersby Anonymoussan antonio 1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Uncontested ride quality with unparalleled handling. Extremely supple, while remaining incredibly responsive, these clinchers are not only a pleasure to look at but also a pleasure to ride. However, this does come at a price they lack the resistance to punctures that you'll find in Gatorskins. A trade off that is worth it in my opinion.

Review by AnonymousTerrific Rolling High Performance Tireby AnonymousCompetitive RacerSan Francisco2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.I absolutely love the way this tire rolls. So smooth in and out of corners. I have more confidence in high speed descending than any other. With a cotton spun tire the life span will be less but I was very pleased to get 1600 miles out of a set.

Review by AnonymousFast but wears quicklyby Anonymous2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.By far the fastest tire I've ever used. If your rim can handle it, pumping up to 8 or 9 bars makes snapping through corners a breeze. Supple softer sidewall makes for a smoother ride than most other tires. I noticed after only 600 miles, they're starting to show wear signs that other tires I've used don't show until about 1k

Review by Anonymousbest riding road tire by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastSouthern California6 of 6 customers found this review helpful.Road riding on medium to good surfaces, climbing and descending.
The tire has more rubber and less sidewall. Excellent on the new wider rims.
High performance tire. Wears quickly.

Review by jzpicsFast, comfortable and sticks in the corners. by jzpicsCycling EnthusiastForest Hill, MDRide about 100 miles a week at 120 psi. These tires are very comfortable on roads with cracks and bumps. Keeping my fingers crossed, after 800 miles no flats. Hard corners are no problem, these tires stick to the payment.

Review by klausdisappointedby klausCycling Enthusiastorlando, fl5 of 14 customers found this review helpful.pretty disappointed with these. thought they would last longer for a training tire. i tried cause they are used in the tour however they lasted about 8 rides before both front and back had cuts totally through. on 9th ride rear totally slashed through. ive tried a lot of tires for training and found nothing that lasts as well as gatorskins. i will not purchase again.

Review by Marc RFantastic Tire - Highly Recommendedby Marc RCycling EnthusiastSan Francisco, CA7 of 7 customers found this review helpful.I'm 510, 155 lbs and ride from San Francisco to points North. I've been riding the Veloflex Pave on my Orbea Opal for the past couple of years and was unpleasantly surprised to find that they are no longer offered. That was my favorite tire.
However, this Veloflex Master appears to be a like for like replacement and delivers the fantastic performance I got used to with the Pave. I love being able to zip around at a firm 140 psi and still get the supple, sticky ride I got addicted to on the Paves. I prefer these over top end offerings from Continental, Michelin, and Hutchinson.
Do yourself a favor and try this tire if you are debating it. I tired it because a fellow in the LBS said everyone should ride this tire once. I'll never go back, the ride is great and the value is excellent.

Review by JohnA fast rolling clincher tireby JohnCycling EnthusiastBC, Canada2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. This is my second set of Veloflex tires. I had previously worn out a set of 22mm Corsa. They are fast, smooth rolling tires. I have them set up with latex tubes. These tires are not intended for gravel roads and prone to cuts. They are more a race style tire.

Review by Sir DaveLight and fast, better than expected flat resistance!by Sir DaveCycling EnthusiastAustin, tx3 of 5 customers found this review helpful. These go on my race wheels. Very supple casing, these tires ride much like sewups. I do wish they came in a 25 width though. The tires are very thin, and weigh about 210g according to my scale. Given all that, I don't think I get as many flats as I would have expected. You will get more flats than if you're riding on gatorskins, that's only common sense, but Ive been impressed with their resistance, and also they are not wearing out as fast as I would have expected. If you use a lightweight tube, it makes for a fast ride. I just bought a set of Vittoria open corsa evo sc's and they look very much like the veloflex tires, although I think the veloflex looks just a little bit nicer, but I haven't ridden the vittoria's yet. I've also ridden on Conti. GP 4000s (the hot chili) and I couldn't say which is faster.

Review by AngloTexan800 miles on these, no flats, smooth & fast rollingby AngloTexanCycling EnthusiastDallas TX3 of 3 customers found this review helpful.I purchased these back in April 2018 , I've put about 800 miles on them. I ride mainly country roads in North Texas. I went from some cheap Kenda K152' to these, the Kenda's did the job , but as soon as I put these on the bike I could really feel a difference. Cornering is so much better, more grip and less flex in these tires. They just give you more confidence when you ride at speed.
I haven't had any punctures yet. They seem to be wearing better than the Kendas I had previously. If I know I am going to be encountering chip seal roads I normally take them down to the min 100psi rating for comfort, for optimal rolling resistance they should be at 120psi per bicyclerollingresistance.com , they have the Veloflex Corsa listed which is the same tire with a black sidewall.
Which brings me to my only gripe, the natural gum sidewalls look awesome, but get dirty easily. I've used Bleche White white wall tire cleaner with some success though.
I wouldn't buy these tires for commuting, but for casual and weekend riders go for it!

Review by bobfDelux Veloflex ride in a 28mm tire.by bobfCycling EnthusiastSan Francisco PeninsulaA big part of what I enjoy in cycling is the feel of my bike, and so I was waiting for Veloflex to come out with a clincher in 28mm width. After few hundred miles I'll say the Master 28 is the best tire I've ever ridden. Can't say I've tried everything, but I have used and liked VIttoria Corsas, Continental GP 4000 SII, and Rene Herse ultralights. I'll take this tire over any. It somehow feels both lively, quiet, and secure all at the same time.
I understand that some might want a tire they can put on the bike and forget for a few thousand miles, and Veloflex might be too thin for that. (Although it's been trouble-fee so far.) But for my riding this tire maximizes the joy at the price competes well with others in its class.

Review by DwightGreat tire for the money!by DwightCompetitive RacerRochester ,NY1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. This is really a good tire. My ONLY issue is that it is a royal pain to get on my rims. I have carbon Bontrager Aeolus 3 Clinchers. On my other rims that are NOT carbon they go on much better. I bought a tool to help get them on. The tire is great mounting is rough. BUT i don't let that stop me from buying them..

Review by XCARRINGTONXAmazing tires! But... they run narrow and don't have a great lifespan. by XCARRINGTONXCycling EnthusiastTehachapi, CA6 of 6 customers found this review helpful.Yes, I love these tires. Super fast, plush and grippy. And did I mention how good they look! Kept track of mileage when I installed these and we're looking at 1000miles and it's time to change the rear. In that 1000miles I've climbed 80k feet so that definitely doesn't help. Front is still in perfect condition. If I had to guess... we're looking at 3 rears for 1 front. So far, one flat on the rear. No biggie though, it happens. Tires do run narrow. With the 25s mounted on my DuraAce C24s I took a measurement of 23.6mm.
Prior to running these, I've always run Contis. Conti GP 4000s II 23s most of the year and Conti 4Season 25s in the winter. Hands down, the Veloflex is better. Not that the Contis are in anyway a bad tire, its just that the Veloflex is a truly wonderful ride. Magical if you will. Unicorns, rainbows... all that stuff. So do yourself a favor and grab some of these!
