Coming from a 1x setup with huge jumps between cogs, I'd say switching to the super subcompact offering from Shimano was a game changer. Not only am I able to conquer steep inclines, I'm also not freewheeling when it comes to steep descents. I got my crankset on a discount and won't hesitate purchasing from WesternBikeWorks again.

Since I was in need of a crankset and checking all supply chains. I found Western Bike to have the shortest wait time for back ordered parts. Western was also a little less expensive than some other sites

Bought this for a gravel bike build, a Ritchey Outback, where I'm using an 11-36T cogset. With the 46/30 in the front, lots of low gearing for climbing Pacific Northwest hills and ranges. At nearly 6' tall, I went with the recommended 172.5 (which is what is on my other bikes).

Replaced crankset that came with bike (Shimano Tiagra) so I could have a lower gear option for gravel rides. This is the perfect crankset for gravel.

I swapped out the stock FSA crankset on my bike and it was just smoother overall with better power transfer. I'd highly recommend this crank if you're running either a GRX or Tiagra 10 speed setup. Works great and for the price it's an excellent value.

Replaced a previous crankset that was worn and causing shifting issues. New crankset works well with new grx front derailleur. Provides good gear range for riding on gravel paths and light road riding.
