Review by slowroadieFeel and ride like a dream, until you get a puncture. Then....by slowroadieCycling EnthusiastSouthern CaliforniaThese tires feel amazing. They roll fast, are pretty light, and handle well on corners. With that being said, get one puncture, and deal with it for the life of the tire. it will close up for a ride, then when you pump up the tires for the next ride, about 3 miles into the ride you hear and see sealant spray all over the place. After the pressure is lost, they're good to go....until you pump up again. They just can't seem to take a puncture and close up. It makes you want to go back to inner tubes. Ill be going back to Maxxis padrones or Hutchinsons.

Review by Anonymousbest tire out there!! worth the effort to go tubelessby AnonymousCycling EnthusiastFloridaThese are the fastest and smoothest tire out there. I like the Specialized Turbo cottons but they are now my second best. The tubeless tires take a little getting used to but when you learn how to fill the tire you need to have the the right chuck. Then it all works well. It's nice to ride with 10's less air, it makes the ride so much smoother. If you do get a whole it seals then you just need to add air.

Review by PedalerMy Go-To Club Ride Tireby PedalerCycling EnthusiastSan Francisco Bay Area2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. This tire is a little bit pricey compared to others, even Schwalbe lines, but they have a great combination of puncture resistance, low rolling resistance and are tubeless. They feel like they want to run. When punctured, they lose about 6 pounds of pressure, but I dont even stop. I get about 800-1,000 Miles per set and usually change them before they get too flat topped.

Review by AnonymousMy favorite tubeless road tires.by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastPhiladelphia, PA.1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I find these are the best all-around performing tubeless road tires. The ride nice, are quiet and have great traction dry or wet. They wear like a race tire so don't expect a ton of miles out of them. I have had punctures with these tires, and use sealer, so small punctures are not a problem. As the tires wear and get thinner, they are more prone to puncture.

I had my doubts when Bob sold me the wheel set and I had to learn this new way of addressing my tires. Thanks to the Schwalbe Pro One, Ive had no issues with flats. These tires are GREAT. They also feel smooth on the road. I feel faster as a rider and second, I feel safe knowing these tires are going to keep me off the side of the road saying yeah, Im ok as other riders ride by

Review by WH BikerGreat Tubeless tireby WH BikerCycling EnthusiastWest Hartford, CT3 of 3 customers found this review helpful.I use the 28mm tire on my Roubaix S-Works. Very fast rolling and great for the occasional dirt road foray. I've lost one tire to glass in the road I didn't see, but other than that I can't think of a better solution for a road rider with the usual lousy roads we encounter in CT.

Review by EdbellGreat, low mileage tireby Edbellsonoma, ca2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. When I put these tires on, my first tubeless. I loved the ride and the way they grabbed the road. I put them on a couple hundred miles before beginning a 545 mile trek from northern to Southern California. By day 5 of the 7 day journey, I got a puncture that the sealant couldn't handle. I added a tube which lasted a day and when I changed the next one found the tire to be pretty thin. Maybe 700 miles. Put a patch on the inside of the puncture this time and rode the tire the rest of the way. Probably wouldn't buy again, too much money per mile. I do think it a great performance tire though.

Review by ViperBoySeats easily and great ride quality though I was not able to convert to tubelessby ViperBoyCycling EnthusiastSan Jose, CA1 of 5 customers found this review helpful. My plan was to convert to 28mm tubeless on Easton EC90SL rims (which are not official tubeless wheels) for a better ride and to finally get rid of flats. Tires mount easily - just tight enough to seem secure, but not so tight as to break tire irons. 90 PSI max is far lower than I'm accustomed to but the goal was a better ride on terrible california roads
However, absolutely NO amount of tries allowed me to run tubeless and this is someone who has installed a minimum of 30 mountain wheels on various tire and rim vendors. It took 2 people to work the tire enough to get a seal to inflate at all but then 30grams of Stans sealant didn't help complete the process. There is no pop as the tire fills and it takes about 1-6 hours to deflate in which the tire then unseats completely. One thing I noticed is that the rubber is very slick and sealant doesn't really dry to it even after a week like it does for Schwable mountain tires.
Since the EC90s aren't officially supported I was fully prepared for failure and so can't blame the tires, but for anyone coming from the absolutely wonderful world of tubeless mountain biking, the road experience may not be the same

Review by brij43Definitely lighter harder to mount though. by brij43Competitive RacerSanta Cruz2 of 2 customers found this review helpful.I'm a big fan of Schwalbe tubeless road tires and have had many pairs. This latest iteration is noticeably lighter. I can't tell yet if they wear differently yet-they seem to wear a bit faster but I could be wrong about that. They are great in terms of grip and rolling resistance. But they are super hard to mount. It might the wheeltire combo, but I've mounted many tubeless tires and you have to be patient and perseverant. I had to install with tubes and then use every trick I know (lots of soapy water, a good compressor, etc.). Essentially it feels like a different bead that doesn't want to stay seated.

Review by NMveloOne of the best tubeless road tires available.by NMveloCompetitive RacerNorthern Michigan2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. The Schwalbe Pro One tubeless tires are a break-through in my opinion.
Now you can run a tire that handles as well or better than the best clinchers with tubes, but weighs less even with sealant.
I had a puncture yesterday and wouldn't have even noticed , except I had stopped and a friend heard the hiss from my tire. Before I could find the hole it was sealed by my sealant(Orange Seal), I rode another 15 miles and checked when I got home, It still had plenty of air pressure, and I rode it again today . No problem.
It is still winter here so I don't really want to be changing tubes.

Review by TreybertoVery Fragileby TreybertoCycling EnthusiastSan Francisco3 of 3 customers found this review helpful.I went through 3 pairs of the original Schwalbe Ones and was completely convinced that tubeless was the way to go. I even rode down to the threads on one set without a single flat. I was super excited to get the Pro Ones as all reviews said they were faster and easier to mount. I went through one set (1200 miles) and had 2 flats that wouldn't seal. I just put on a new set that I had bought on sale and after about 200 miles had flatted both the front and rear tires in normal road riding. The rear tire had a cut that wouldn't seal which I had to repair with a tube. The front was a small puncture that took several stops to finally seal after bathing me and my bike in sealant. I was using stan's sealant for a long time and then just switched to Orange because many people said it's better at sealing large damage, but it also couldn't seal a small cut in my front tire. The 2 stars are for being super fast and super grippy with tons of confidence in corners, but the tubeless performance is really lacking.

Review by BeninslcFlat free, lightweight, great performanceby BeninslcCycling EnthusiastSalt Lake City1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I have not used any other tubeless road tires so nothing to compare these against, but have been incredibly impressed so far. I ride about 3000 miles a year on the road bike, have used continental grand prix 4000sii 25c for many years and been very happy with them. I averaged around 1 flat per 1000 miles, 2-3 per year.
I had not tried tubeless because it seemed like the weight of the previously available tires did not make it attractive. This year, with Schwalbe's introduction of the Pro One at 255 grams for the 25c, I decided to make the move. I purchased a set of Dura-Ace C24TL wheels, my first carbon wheelset, and a set of the Pro One in 25c. Claimed weight is 255 grams, actual on my digital scale was 248 on one, 256 on the second. With 1.5 ounces of orange sealant, this is a lighter setup than the 4000sii with a tube.
I now have ridden 2700 miles on these tires. I have had one puncture, from a piece of wire which surely would have caused a flat on the conti's, at 800 miles on the rear. I stopped, pulled the wire out of the tire, gave it a good spin, and immediately started riding again to let the sealant work. I rode the 12 miles home without incident, the sealant had done it's job. It did spray all over and make a mess of the bike's rear triangle, but I still had 70 psi when I got home. I added a bit more sealant and rode the tire another 500 miles until it wore out.
Performance - I love the way these tires ride. I ride them tubeless with about 15 psi less than the contis with tubes, 85 front, 90 rear, maybe a bit more for a climb. At that psi they take the last little bit of buzz out of the handlebars and absorb bumps better. They are far more supple than the contis and seem more planted when cornering. They measure about 26.5mm wide mounted tubeless on the DA wheels which may also help.
Wear - They are not the longest wearing tires, at least on the rear. I replaced the first rear tire at around 1300 miles, it had the usual flat spot worn into the center. I am at about 2700 miles now and the original front is still in use and really looks to be in good shape. The second rear tire has the flat spot now, it seems to become noticeable at about 1200 miles. I have noticed a few very small cuts in the tread over the life of the tires, but they have never increased in size or caused a problem. I plan to replace both front and rear in the spring and have a fresh set.
As with all tubeless tires it is imperative to replace your sealant fairly regularly, I go around 3-4 months. Orange Seal is by far the best sealant out there, does not coagulate like the Stan's.
So I give 4 stars for value because of the short lifespan of the rear tire and the initial cost of the tires, but to me they are worth it for the

Review by NogoatheadsProne to puncturesby NogoatheadsCycling EnthusiastSouthern Oregon2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. These are light-weight and fast rolling. They were easy to mount. But I would not recommend them for everyday training rides as they are EASY to puncture. Out of 5 tires on 2 different wheelsets (HED and Dura Ace) 3 punctured with in a 100 miles. The Stan's Sealant did it's job, filled the punctures and I got home. But I had to stop and add air each time as the punctures grew. One puncture eventually blew and I had to boot the tire and tube it to get home. It seems Schwalbe chose lower weight over puncture protection. The ride quality is nice but not nicer than Open Tubulars and latex. The puncture affinity defeats the point of tubeless in my opinion.
I've ridden Tubeless road since the original tubeless Dura Ace wheelset. I've used every flavor of Hutcheson and have never punctured in 10,000 plus miles. In 400 miles of Schwalbe on the same roads I've punctured 5 times.

Review by smittyThe best tubeless road tire there is?by smittyCycling EnthusiastPortland, ORI was running a set of Hutchinson Atoms with my Dura Ace tubeless wheelset, and they were a major disappointment. They were horribly difficult to mount, and had irreparable holes in both tires in under a year. These are a night & day difference. They were easy to mount, feel wonderfully supple, and so far are proving resistant to flats. I've accidentally ridden through broken glass and plastic on these, with no visible damage at all to the tires. They're also fun I feel like I have so much grip that I'm taking corners faster than I ever have. Having bought these on sale for $ or so per tire, they're an absolute steal. I'd argue that these tires truly make good on the promise of road tubeless. Maybe they're even the first to do so.

Review by AnonymousAmazing Gripby AnonymousReno, NVThis is overall an amazing tubeless tire. The cornering and stopping grip is amazing! It does wear a little more quickly than other tubeless tires, but it is largely offset by cost of the tire which is a good value. The tire will get hot on a tire on turbo trainer likely also a factor in wear.
