Review by Triker BillPut 3 on my Catrikeby Triker BillLancaster, PA.5 of 7 customers found this review helpful.I went to the larger 20x1.75 tires on my Catrike Trail. I wanted this larger, wider tire for when I am on a gravel rail-trail. The main thing I like about this Marathon model is the uninturrupted center rib of the tread. This solid center rib gives a smoother ride on a paved trail, and the wider 1.75 tire sits more on the gravel not digging in as much. I like these tires as they are a high quality tire and have the puncture resistand liner. They are lighter than the Marathon Plus tires too. I have been running them at 60 psi. Good stuff! )

Review by TrikeRider Ore comfort and speed.by TrikeRiderCycling EnthusiastAlton, illinois 2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. These tires are as comfortable at 70 lbs as the OEM tires were at 40 lbs. they defiantly roll faster and farther, as I have picked up a couple of mph in my average speed. I know they will last longer it took a couple hundred miles to wear of the thin bits of rubber left from the casting.

Review by PorkchopGold Standard for Touring Tiresby PorkchopCycling EnthusiastCape Coral, FL1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I've been riding Schwalbe Marathon tires on my touring bikes for many years and consider them to be the standard by which all others are judged. This is my first set of 20 tires for a recumbent trike. So far they are just as good as the larger sizes. Only complaint is they are a bit expensive when compared to similar products from competing manufacturers,, but I guess you pay the premium for the best.

Review by Anonymousdurable, reliableby AnonymousCycling EnthusiastWest Michigan1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. This is the 3rd bike I've equipped with Schwalbe Marathon's!! Started using them on my road bike 2 years ago, put them on the tandem my wife & I ride last spring, and now have put them on my "backup" recumbent. They are very durable, puncture resistant, and the rolling resistance seems low. They are a bit difficult to get on, but then again, I don't need to take them off very often!!

Review by LSBExcellent Choice for an ElliptiGOby LSBCycling EnthusiastIdaho8 of 8 customers found this review helpful.Elliptigos have an internally geared hub in the rear that makes fixing a roadside flat a real pain. After way too many flats with a Kenda tire we went in search for a tire that was more puncture resistant. We chose the Schwalbe because of the Greenguard feature and have never regretted it. We have these tires on both of our GO's and have not had a flat on either bike for over 2 years and counting. That is saying a lot here in the land of the Goathead thorn. They are a few grams heavier than the previous tire but the puncture resistance more than makes up for any increase in rolling resistance.
Another benefit of the Scwalbe Marathon is it gives one the confidence to ride hard packed gravel trails like the famous Hiawatha Trail in Idaho where they do not recommend street tires.

Review by stewartmoNo flats make riding a pleasure.by stewartmoCycling EnthusiastLive Oak CA4 of 4 customers found this review helpful. My wife and I ride recumbent tadpole trikes. We inflate our tires to 90 psi and I am getting about 1500 miles on the front tires. The wife's tires are lasting longer than mine, probably because I like to zoom around corners. The back tires have about 3100 miles of wear and looks like many more miles to go.. Use Mr. Tuffy protectors with the front tires and have not had a flat in the past year.
Like the reflective sidewall stripe for those times when we are riding at dusk.

Review by DougCasing Failsby DougCycling EnthusiastKeizer, OR6 of 7 customers found this review helpful.I have now had three of these tires fail long before there was any significant wear on the tread. The fibers in the casing have started to separate. The first two resulted in sidewall bulges. The most recent failure resulted in the tread and casing completely separating exposing the tube. Another ride and it definitely would have blown. I'm now looking for a more reliable tire for my Bike Friday.

Review by MN. NorthwoodsExcellent tiresby MN. NorthwoodsCycling EnthusiastMinnesota1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I run Schwalbe marathons on my short wheel base Rans and also on my tike. Living up in the Northwoods the tar roads are resealed with fine crushed rock and large crushed rocks are kicked up from the shoulders by ATV's. These take the wear and no flats with these tires and heavy tubes. Used 25 to 30 miles a day.

Review by JohnExcellent - so far.by JohnCasual CyclistGulf State Park, Alabama8 of 8 customers found this review helpful. My wife was being plagued by flats caused by sand bur thorns with the OEM tires on her Trident Spike II trike. After some research, we decided on using these as a replacement. So, far, after a month of steady use on the trails of Gulf State Park, we have had no more flats. These tires just looked and felt like a stronger tire. In spite of that, I had no problem installing them on the 20" trike wheels. So at this point, we are very pleased with these tires.

Review by Belcaro BikerTracks evenly on both front wheels of my recumbent trike.by Belcaro BikerCasual CyclistValencia-Ojai, CA8 of 8 customers found this review helpful.Replaced the original Schwalbe Marathon at 4,235 miles riding on designated bike paths and bike lanes. The tires track & wear evenly provided the air pressure is constant. The only negative issue is that it takes a bit of effort to remove and replace the tire onto the rimI'm not too mechanically inclined, ride every morning 6-25 miles except when it rains, at least 1 50 miler every 2 weeks, and 1 100 miler every other month.

Review by fab_fourdGreat performance and value, but small issue with qualityby fab_fourdCycling EnthusiastBoise, ID9 of 9 customers found this review helpful.Use this tire on our Bike Friday tandem. We have used only Schwalbes (Marathon, Marathon Plus, Greenguard) since purchased (7 years - about 30,000 miles). They always provide superior wear and puncture resistance which is why we continue to buy. This last purchase of Greenguard had a bead defect which caused a near sidewall blow-out. Seems to be a general production issue as we also had a similar defect in a 700C Marathon Plus.

Review by NSTrikerExcellent tiresby NSTrikerCycling EnthusiastFalmouth NS, Canada4 of 4 customers found this review helpful. These are the front tires on a Catrike Road. I have cycled about 450km on them, and they are showing no signs of wear. I find them comfortable even with the 100PSI pressure, great grip in both wet and dry, and a very good road tire. They are poor on the trails and have very little grip in sand or gravel, but that is not what they are intended for, nor do I use them in that way.
Because trikes don't lean, the tires don't generall last as long. While my last set were pretty worn out by this point, these tires show very little wear at all.
