So far, I'm a fan of these tubes. I still use butyl tubes instead of tubeless, latex (pressure retention) or TPU ($$$). Plus butyl is easily patchable. With modern 28mm+ tires I decided to stay with size appropriate tubes instead of cheating and using the -23mm or -25mm to avoid even more pinch flats at the lower pressures. This doesn't seem to pinch flat any worse than the 120g+ Conti or Schwalbe standard tubes, which I otherwise like a lot. Those tubes take up a lot more saddle bag volume than this Pirelli RoadTUBE. A bit pricey for butyl but I'm happy with this relatively cheap weight upgrade. Have ridden more than a thousand miles on these, with no seam or stem issues.

I first thought, "Oh I should try latex tubes...everyone using them now, eh ? "

Yeah, well I did that, I hated them!!! De-mounted them and threw them away !!! They loose like 30 lbs overnight.

Then, okay, I want to go back to old traditional "smooth stem butyl tubes".

So I tried Pirelli for the first time. EASILY THE BEST butyl tube I have ever bought.

Easy to mount, smooth, and they don't loose much pressure over night...if any at all.

A good value regarding longevity and weight. I like the black coated stem without the threads. I have found that when I use tubes with threaded stems that vibrations make them file down the hole in the rim that the valve passes through on carbon wheels. This is a plus for a tube.

I use these with the Pirelli tires

Pirelli Roadtube is a great balance between durability and weight. Very light with a longer lifespan and puncture protection than others I have tried. I use the 700c size and highly recommend it.

Thought, per Pirelli website, that these were made in Italy, so I bought six in several sizes. These tubes were made in China. Used a 32C for about 500 miles and tube failed at seam, as so many other brands have recently done.

Good so far no issues

Not sold on the price of the fancy new tubes, these certainly do the trick!
