I've been using Conti GP5000 (tubes) for some time but wanted to return to using tubeless. Why not try something new?

Panaracer Gravelkings are my fave for my gravel bike(s) so I put on the Panaracer Agilist.

Not possible to do a direct comparison, but since I've ridden the Conti's for so long it wasn't hard to make a comparison.

What's nice? Grip! The cornering is fantastic, this rubber is sticky. The supple feel is better than the Conti's but that's not a good comparison as those were with tubes and the Agilists are tubeless. But they're a very nice ride on rough pavement.

What's not to like? Two things, they are a PITA to seat without an air compressor (so are Conti GP5000 tubeless, BTW, as I've set those up for my wife).

Mostly, they measure 28mm instead of the marked 30c (21mm internal rim width). And 30c is the largest tire I can get on this bike. Woulda been nice.

I purchased these as a replacement for the Maxxis road tires that came stock on my road bike. Installation only resulted in a few curses and I was able to seat these with a Bontrager flash pump. After hearing of the difficulties that others had, I was happily surprised. I took them on the road for a ride today and they provided decent grip and traction. The verdict is still out on durability and I was also slightly concerned by a bit of chalkiness that was on the tires in their package. Time will tell, but I'll keep them for now.

Good durable tire

The good

1, Highly durable. I got 3300 miles on a rear tire with only two flats that the sealant was able seal. I weigh a little less than 130 lbs., and the tire was pretty shot when replaced, but that's pretty good mileage that I've only been able to exceed with Continental Gatorskins (which are really hard resulting in a stiff ride and skitterish handling).

2. Good ride

The bad

1, Kind of hard to mount on ENVE hookless wheels.

2. Just average to good handling - can be a little slippery.
