Works great on my son's downhill bike, good traction for when he is hitting the big features.

The treads do dig in, but the sidewalls are a bit thin

I do like the grip, but the rear tire tore right at the sidewall bead after only a few rides :-( I tried adding a tube patch on the inside, but no luck. The 1/4-3/8" rip was too big for sealant to plug. Granted the hard rock trails here are pretty tough on sidewalls and rims, could have been just bad luck.

Really great, grippy tires. DHF and DHR both. Not the greatest rolling, but what downhill tire is? On about my 10th set of these. I just wish they would be less expensive ($75tire is what you can pay for some car tires, with 10x the amount of rubber, steel and nylon!). But it's still my only tire of choice for my Yeti SB5.5 29er running tubeless. Cheers!

great front tire, lots of grip

At first i tried this on the back, it had lots of grip, but had way too much rolling resistence. I swapped it to the front and put an agressor on the back, and it may not be a super fast combination, but it rolls nice and hooks in all conditions. when i need to replace the dhr2 i may go to the dhf for the front just to try. but the dhr works great in front.

I use this DHR II 2.3 29 as a front tire on my aggressive trail bike. I have the Rekon 2.25 and Ikon 2.35 for the rear. Excellent setup, the fast rear tire lets you get up to speed, but more importantly the front DHR II helps with braking at high speed.
