Review by AnonymousGood size & battery lifeby AnonymousCycling Enthusiast4 of 4 customers found this review helpful. So far so good after a month. No problem using my 4yr old speed/cadence sensor & quickly find GPS. Customizing data screens can be tedious but you get use to it. Nice to be alerted that a sharp curve was ahead. Can't wait to get a smart trainer to pair to and re-ride a previous course.

Review by AnonymousGarmin 530by AnonymousMiddle America Replacing a 13 y.o. Unit. Now that I'm older, don't need so many bells and whistles but still not lacking in features! Bought 2 so we could share stats.

Review by AnonymousUseful, not always intuitiveby AnonymousCycling EnthusiastArizonaI don't know what I did without it. That said, the buttons feel strange and are sometimes hard to feel or press, and the menus can be a pain to get through.

Review by AnonymousEdge 530 delivers as promised.by AnonymousPortlandDecent value as you get what you pay for. Navigating menus with the side buttons is a little clunky but it works.

Review by AnonymousReally happy with all the functions especially alerting me of traffic approaching from behind.by AnonymousCycling Enthusiast2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. In traffic it is invaluable. I am use to using my helmet mirror but this easier and safer as it is hard to see the road and use the helmet mirror

Review by DanImproved GPS functionsby DanCycling EnthusiastReview for Garmin Edge 520 Plus10 of 11 customers found this review helpful.I have been using this for training and racing. The course mapping is improved over the 520. No problem finding heart rate monitors, smart trainers or power meters. Multiple displays can be set up for each type of riding that you are doing. You can have your main screen focus on heart rate, power, cadence and time and then have other screens to check lap data and so on. You can have turn-by-turn info for your course too. So far, I have used it in a race, for training and on a road bike (Favero Assioma power) and mountain bike (Stages power). Western Bike Works had a really good price for the unit.

Review by CDL VeloFantastic! Not sure what else I could ask for!by CDL VeloCycling EnthusiastSurrey, BCReview for Garmin Edge 520 Bundle3 of 4 customers found this review helpful. After 6 years of using my Garmin Edge 500, I decided to upgrade to the 520 bundle. Excuse - my son needed my 500 ) So... wht an upgrade! The GPX function is awesome. I took a trip to Belgium, used the Knooppunt website, uploaded route into my Edge 520 and voila - instant navigation expertise! Compared to Edge 500, HR strap is better, GPS connection better, all faster, great battery life. Overall, no complaints. Was considering the 800, 1000 series... 520 is definitely the best for me. Love it.

Review by ZoomNear perfectby ZoomDes MoinesReview for Garmin Edge 520 Plus4 of 4 customers found this review helpful. This is my second 520. The first died after heavy, heavy use. The cyclone has all the metrics required for effective training in a small body yet readable screen (I use at least 5 screens with 10 elements in each). It is easy to shift from one bike to another, connect to you phone, get messages, alert a designated person in the event of a crash, plan and follow routes, and the list goes on.

Review by Bhaydamackexactly whats neededby BhaydamackValencia, CaliforniaReview for Garmin Edge 520 Plus1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.I bought this wanting a solid GPS for mountain biking. There's lots of options out there but Garmin has a long history and reputation. I Iike the quick startup and customizable screens. I thought I'd want to see my cell phone notifications, which this one offers but I actually find them an annoyance. It can upload 3rd party maps for turn by turn directions but I wouldn't use it for mountain biking as often there just aren't really many turn options. It was a little challenging to get it connected to my phone consistently as well as a 3rd party heart rate monitor, but it eventually settled down. I have an iPhone X so iOS upgrades might have disrupted the settings connections. I really like the app and it offers some of the measurement features that one must pay for.

Review by kyvdh10Nice upgrade for my bike over the Forerunner 110 I was usingby kyvdh10Cycling EnthusiastKentuckyReview for Garmin Edge 520 Plus1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. This product syncs with satellites so much faster than my previous product. Really enjoy that. Still learning all the features and it does seem pretty feature rich. A little disappointed that many Strava features require a paid subscription to Strava and Garmin Connect just doesn't have the same appeal. All that said, I found the display very easily visible in all light conditions. Hasn't dropped a signal yet. Battery life is probably better than I expected which is nice. Would definitely recommend to others.
