These tires are exactly what I was looking for a smooth, quiet ride with low rolling resistance, and they can handle most non-asphalt trails with good results. Great tire.

Continental Makes a Good Economical Tire that meets the Riders Needs of Street and light Trail

Street and light Trail.

Continental always makes a good cycling product and has once again delivered. I ride an MTB mostly on the road and 10% of the time on the light trail made up of loose dirt, and stones, relatively flat nothing crazy. The Traffic tire excels in the road mode with nubbins that are not stump jumpers and decrease rolling resistance making that street ride a breeze to save energy and yet provide nice cornering ability when needed.

I ride a combination of street and hard pack trail every day, 7-10 miles, and wanted to switch out my ancient knobbies for something more streetworthy, something faster and that wouldn't peel out from under me when leaning into a corner on asphalt. I'm thrilled with the performance of these tires! I can tell I'm hitting much higher speeds on both street and trail. The grip is amazing on asphalt, old or new, just what I was hoping for, and pretty much the same on trails too. The only shortcomings I've found so far are when I get into a sandy spot on the trail they don't float as much as my old tires did, and on really loose pack up a hill the rear tire doesn't grip as well as a knobby with a less pronounced center ridge.. but these are small things considering the all around great performance they do on everything else. They do feel a little heavy, but make up for it with the super low rolling resistance. I'm really happy I chose these and would recommend them to anyone who rides trails yet wants to get some great street performance out if their mountain bike.

These tires are perfect on my Diamondback. They are great on pavement as well as sand. I have a much smoother ride with these tires. So glad I purchased them. They are well worth the price.

I replaced mud tires on my old mountain bike since most of my riding is in the city. These are so much smother and I still have excellent traction on gravel roads.

I ride an older (non suspension type) Mountain bike on mixed surfaces, sand on concrete, railroad dirt beds, asphalt & concrete bicycle path , mostly in North County San Diego, coastal. The tires have excellent grip on all these surfaces & the ride seems smoother than my previous OEM tires.

There is a little tire noise, due to the tread design, but it is very minor noise.

The ride and wear of these tires is very good. We have been getting over 7,500 miles were on light duty on-road riding. Tread pattern provides good and stable traction.

Can't go wrong with Traffic MTB Tire

This is my fourth or fifth set of Continental Traffic tires. This tread works great for my use which is mostly neighborhood streets and paved greenway trail. There is some gravel and dirt sections that I encounter but the Traffic's tread handles it great. Definitely not a real dirt MTB tire.

I have used the 2.1 in Maine and the 1.9 in N.C. They work very well on fire trails, gravel, sand and are VERY quiet and smooth on pavement. They wear very well. I love them. Harry

I use both size tires on a mountain bike in Maine (on fire trails with rocks, sand, and dirt) and in North Carolina on sand and hard packed dirt. They work quite well. I also use them on pavement and they are SUPER smooth and quiet. I got my first set in Chapel Hill, NC on close out. I had a hard time finding the original traffic tread pattern and was happy to spend much more on later sets.

Great tire but way too tight fit on a Mavic wheel

Ordered this tire based on tread photos and reviews to replace a nearly slick Worm Drive that I use as a front tire for double trackback road riding. Fit is so tight on my Mavic Cross Trail front wheel that I sprained my thumb mounting it, am concerned that I might not be able to get it off of the rim in the field should I have a puncture. It will most likely wind up on one of my spare bikes that we keep around for guests and family members to ride around the ranch area.

I am a repeat user of the Traffic tire (probably over 8 years worth) and have had great success. The tire wears very well and more than 50% of my riding is on streets and paved greenway paths. I've plucked many potential puncture objects from the tread but have suffered very few flats. Although I typically ride with the tires inflated between 55 and 60 PSI, but the tire adapts well when lowering the pressure for a more off-road use.

A Solid tire for city riding and light trail use

Continental tires are consistently solid and reliable. They might weigh a little more than others, but you will have little worry about getting a flat. They are also long lasting. These tires have performed very well for city riding and light trail riding on my mountain bike that I converted for more urban riding.

I ride about ten miles everyday for exercise. This tire is perfect for my route, which is about 75/25 road to dirt. It rolls well on pavement and still has enough grip for single track.

I haven't owned these tires for very long nor had many rides on them, but I love them so far. Nice and hard compound, combined with good tread pattern makes for ideal biking on asphalt, hard pack gravel or other firm ground. Low rolling resistance is noticeable. Hopefully the longevity will be worth it in the end.
