So far the only issue I've found is that you feel the center strip catch a bit if you bump over a road groove. They corner fine, & give a good ride feel overall. They're a bit more narrow then I'd hoped, but about what I expected. They measure at 30mm on a fairly wide rim. If there's been a 27 x 1 3/8 in this I'd have gone with that.

May not be as fast as a racing slick, but it's still quick. The tread adds a nice grip in the rain and dirt, but it's not a full on gravel tire. Easy to install, and they're pretty durable and flat resistant.

Easy to install, have been riding with this tires on any surface, on bike trails, on the road even on my backyard, now I can take my bike wherever by daughter's take their mountain bikes.

The good

- Good thread with traction for most roads and easy trails.

- Durable, havent had a flat yet. I ride 16 miles a day.

- look good.

- hard to put on

in 77 I built up a mercian for everydaytour - built the campy hubweinmann rimdt spoked wheels on a 27' platform. why? because back then, if you had to, you could get 27 tires everywhere - even in rural general stores. today the pickings are getting slim. if you live in a retirement center or gated community - the kenda tires will work. if you ride out on back roads where there may be a lot of debris - go with something a bit tougher - if you don't want to walk!! it would be a toss up between these and the Schwalbe tires - both are at the top of the field of what is available these days.

Quality tire for urban commuting.The price for the tire is reasonable and it stays on even rims that aren't hooked.

Good quality tire. The tire tread is really good for gripping and it appears to be of good quality. It was a little difficult to get on wheel. However, I recommend the tire. I bought Kenda 27 tubes with this 27x1 14 tire and was very disappointed with the tubes. One of the Kenda tubes would not hold air upon installation and they are also more like 28 or larger tubes. They are larger than advertised. The Continental Ride Tour tire is really good. However, stay away from Kenda products. I would rate the Kenda tube a 0 from a scale of 1 to 5 stars. I did a 1 star review of the Kenda tubes and it never showed up in the reviews. Wonder why!

I commute all year around on my bike and I got these tires just in time for the snow. I am very pleasantly surprized by how well these tires handle slippery conditions and they cut through snow very well. Plenty of traction even in this granulated snow we're getting, It compacts to ice in the sun.

great tires for all around use

Rode the bike for a bit before sending it for tune up. First impression, perfect for city riding.

I ride on crappy surfaces, road shoulders, gravel, dirt, etc and these tires can hold up to the occasional off road conditions.

Use for road trips around North Florida and South Georgia

I used this tire when I restored a vintage Bike a good quality tire at a great price the owner loved them.

I commute on this tire over rough pavement, gravel and dirt and really love the way they handle on all these surfaces. The center bead reduces rolling resistance so they don't slow me down. I will be ordering these again.

I've been riding my old hand-me-down Schwann 27 road bike for over 7 years now. Always been cheap and find the cheapest tires to put on. Boy, thought I treat myself for once and shell for a pair of these luxury tough looking tires since I once rode on one rental in mtn that equipped with Continential TOUR RIDE. Best decision ever!

It has great traction and go over tree branches and light gravels with confidence. Easily hug the road as you twist and turn in wet condition as well. Very comfy and not slowing me down at all. 5 stars and will buy again. Hope it will last for quite some time.

I have used the this tire as a reliable touring tire, (loaded with panniers) and for riding many of the dirt roads in my area. Extremely durable, with center bead greatly reducing rolling resistance. With thorn tubes inside it almost seems bomb proof!

Formerly only riding my 1984-vintage Lotus Eclair touring bike on pavement, I thought some alternative tire was needed for the proposed venue for my cycling group's annual trip on the Erie Canal route. The Continental Tour Ride was proposed by my local bike shop (who didn't have any in stock). The tires went on the rims relatively easily (I don't have a lot of experience doing this, I must confess!) and I experienced no undue resistance problems with the tires on cinders. The 170-mile (we didn't do it all!) trip now concluded, I see no significant signs of wear and have not lost any appreciable pressure with no puncture events. Selling price was 20% less than quote from bike shop if they would have ordered them.
