I use Continental Gatorskins on my road bikes. These Continental Ride Tours are the answer to replace the (original?) tires on my recently purchased lightly used 30-year old vintage Trek 7000 which I bought as a neighborhood rider to keep at my daughter's house to ride with the grandkids. The price was right and the product description hits the mark. Eight thumbs up.

I mounted these on my OLD specialized hard rock a few days ago to revive it for road and trail use. Unlike the knobby tires that were on it, these have great low rolling resistance and cornering grip. As a sport bike rider also, I was looking for something with some good cornering grip for those fast twisty downhill on road runs. The old knobby made the front of the bike feel downright scary on pavement as the knobs evidentially rolled over when leaning resulting in squirming and the front trying to wash out. With these I can lean into the turns so much more. I have been sneaking up on the threshold of their cornering grip yet trying to avoid road rash, and they keep surprising me. Good grip in gravel and dirt, great for my area which is a mix of on road, gravel, and easy dirt trails. Will slip some in mud or wet grass, but that's not where I ride. The tires spin true and were easy to mount, I just used some hot soapy water and my hands. Can't go wrong for the price!
Westernbikeworks shipping was super fast, a full state away I wasn't holding my breath for the free ground shipping, and was amazed that I ordered Thursday afternoon and found the box on my porch when I got home Friday!

Good road thread design, easy mounting and great price. Most all tires are equal for their 1st year !

I got this to convert my cheap mountain bike to the commuter road bike. These tires fit perfectly and allow for a very smooth ride on my mountain bike.

I've been using these for my commute since December. They are better in the rain than the slicks I use during the summer. They are not what I would call fast! But more importantly, so far I've had ZERO flats! Totally satisfied, especially considering how inexpensive they are.

Easy rolling on asphalt and ag lime. Ok for light trail riding. So far so good.

I have a Bridgestone MB4 that I've more or less converted to a cruiser. I ride mostly on pavement and a tiny bit on dirt/gravel. These tires are comfortable but roll well and give me great confidence on fast downhill corners. I haven't ridden them on gravel yet but hope they'll give a little bite and the tread pattern on the shoulders looks like they will - not like a knobby of course but these tires are a great choice for my type of tiding and a very good value as well.

I absolutely love these tires, so much, in fact, i'm thinking of replacing the tires on my new bicycle with them. they perform great on city streets and paved trails, also a great choice for those who want to convert their mountain bikes to a more pavement friendly tread.

I've been running Continental gator skins and they are no match for goat head thorns. I have high hopes that these will perform much better. Although they are wider and I run less psi than the gator skins the ride is more comfortable but seems to roll about as fast.

The early versions of this tire were hit and miss. They've always had a great ride but sometimes I found it impossible to get them to seat correctly and there would be a lump when you spun the wheel. The bigger the tire the worse the problem. ( 32 opposed to a 47 ) When they changed the name from Tour Ride to Ride Tour and added puncture protection I thought I would give them another try. I bought some 650 B 42's for my Rivendell Saluki and they mounted great. They spun perfectly. The ride is dreamy and buttery. Then I bought a set of 47s for my Rivendell Atlantis with 26 inch wheels. (559) Those mounted perfectly as well and spun straight. The ride was the same. Really nice and smooth. I would put these up against any Compass tire. I love compass tires. They have a delicious ride and I would highly recommend them but they're 80 bucks a tire. These are cheap and they handle mud really well which is a plus. Get the Ride Tour, you won't regret it.

This was my first order placed and from the beginning everything was perfect. These tires were replacing the original tires I had on my MTB. The order came ahead of schedule and the tires were in excellent condition and packed perfectly. Incredibly easy to replace my old ones, and I couldn't believe the impact they made on my ride. I ride everyday to work and back home and I find myself wanting to be in the bike longer now because the ride is so clean and smooth. These are great

Put these tires on a older 26" mountain bike that has been rebuilt as a gravel/urban bike with drop bars and no suspension. Roles easy, corners well, tolerates a wide range of tire pressures & absolutely no flats.

These tires are nice quality for the money. They can be pressurized to 58lbs and grip well on everything ranging from tarmac to gritty light trails. They have nice siping slashes that channel water away too if you get caught in a rain-storm. They are super quiet and a nice replacement for nobby-tires If you want to convert your old mountain-bike to a townie and race about with ease. I haven't had any punctures yet, so they seem good in that regard as well.

A tire that works well on paved and unpaved roads, very smooth, quick on the pavement with great traction on the unpaved roads. Absolutely one of my favorite commuting tires that is a steal when on sale!

I first bought a set of 700C Tour Rides in 2015 and ran them on a set of wheels for commuting. Since then I have put them on another set of 700C wheels and run them on two old MTBs set up as commuters, renamed Ride Tour in that time. Not a single flat in ~7 years running these tires. As I write this they are still about $25 each - can't beat that either.

I put these tires on my commutergravel road bike, perfect!

6,000 miles so far. The nubs are worn off, but otherwise look new. No flats in spite of riding glassy roads and adjacent bike trails that haven't been swept in over a year.

I use this product for commuting around the city and so far it has handled amazingly taking on potholes and shards of glass. The rain was not a problem with these tires and dealing with mud was no problem. Excellent for converting a mountaintrail bike into a hybrid!

Use these on a vintage mid-90s Merlin Mountain setup for mixed riding, trails and roads. Smooth, low resistance riding on both surface types and have great grip on exposed roots.

I have a neighbor that has been wanting to join me on my daily ride. He has an 80's era TREK MTN bike that sits in his garage on two flat and rotted tires. I've been coaching him on the benefits of a good ride but he doesn't want to spring for a new road bike unless he's sure he'll stay with it so we bought a set of these along with new tubes and rim strips and I do believe he is now a convert. I've always been a fan of Continental tires and was skeptical given the prices of these. They won't replace and of the GP models but for the price and for the intended goal they fit the purpose perfectly.
