The tires are a bit wider than expected, but they perform well in wet or dry conditions, and even on tight turns. I don't think of the width as a negative after riding over a hundred miles on them. I have them inflated to about 68 PSI, and they feel great. I have accidentally hit a lot of rough patches on the road and on trails, including potholes and gouges in streets that have been torn up to be repaved (lots of road reconstruction in my area). They held up. I have confidence now in the quality of these tires and I am happy with my purchase.
They are now absolutely worth the purchase, especially at the price of around $XX per tire. I recommend them to anyone who rides on both trails and roads often. I payed around $XX per tire a few weeks ago and I feel I did overpay, but the quality makes it worth it.

To be fair to these tires I need to update the earlier review. As I said there they are a large tire and don't fit the bike I intended to use them on. I replaced them with Conti Cyclocross Speed tires for that bike. Even though the conti's are listed as a 35mm tire they are smaller than the LAS. I have used the LAS on another bike for 2 races over the weekend and like them very much.
I recommend them unless your bike doesn't have a lot of room for a large tire.

I bought these tires to use for gravel road races. I know my Salsa Casseroll doesn't have the brake clearance of a cross bike but have used many tires by Continental, Kenda and Specialized on it. Have used up to 700c35 with no problems. These are listed as a 33mm tire. Mounted on my Delgadocross rims they measure 38.6 They rub the brakes and are unusable on my bike. I know they are a good tire but make sure they will fit. CX magizine had a review of them a while back and listed the actual width as 32. I don't know what rims they were using but this does not match my experience. I want something with a similar tread pattern and am now checking to see if the Continental Cyclocross Speed will fit.

Great tire - feels super solid! have on my single speed cyclocross bike and love it on road, cinder - and even rocky single track!

I use these tires on a crossgravelexpedition bike in Nor Cal. I needed a tire to handle dry conditions on the road, off road fire trails and smooth single track. They installed easily, look terrific and ride well. I have had them for several months with no issues! Would definitely purchase them again.
