After riding 50miles, the velcro strap in one of the gloves just peeled off the lining. It is so poorly constructed that i had to throw it into the trash because i lost the receipt and could not return it for replacement.
For me, gloves are like chains & cassettes, something that you periodically just need to toss and replace.
That said, Castelli gloves' quality and durability usually justify a slightly higher price, and (at least on initial inspection) these gloves pass that test.
I only got in one or two rides wearing these before the weather turned wintery (it's December, doh!) so not a to of miles to test these out, especially the padding, I usually ride wearing unpadded gloves, but the padding on these seems just right, not too bulky and allowing good road feel.
It's been pretty cold here in NYC, so I've just started leaving my full-fingered gloves at home and wearing these instead. They fit very well, without any chafing or rubbing and do a good job of isolating road vibrations.
