Used many times, 1st click for Schrader and one more for Presta like it states right on the pump head, locks in tight! This is a no frills pump, it does the job, pumping up to 145psi for my tires takes about 3-5 more pumps total then a Joe Blow 50 dollar pump I have at work. This is a high quality budget pump, period! I treat my things with respect as well, as I think you should, the base and handle is plastic, but sturdy and built tough. As for me, who rides 5 days a week, and often fills his tires every two days, I still don't see any point on spending more money on a pump, the extra $$ goes to bib shorts and other actual important kit! As always, WBW comes through, I'm very grateful they are local as well!
A good pump. My wife has trouble pushing it to get the required 100 psi on her road bike. Also, I have trouble reading the gage at the bottom of the pump. My other pump has the gage at the top and I can see it better. Not the fault of the pump but something to consider if your eyes are not what they used to be. Has a needle and valve adaptor stored in the handle which is handy.
I haven't had this pump for very long yet, so I can't attest to how it will hold up over time, but so far it has worked exceedingly well. It's very easy to use on the presta valves that I've used it on, I haven't tried it on schraeders, but I imagine it is just as easy with them.
I was looking for a second pump I can leave it at my work for my commute. This pump serves the purpose but it has unusual springy feel to it during pumping. So it takes little more effort to get the air in. But then again, it was on sale so I'm not complaining )
Clamps on pretty tight onto the valve stem which I guess is good, but watch out for the release lever when removing it. This thing whips back with a vengeance.
The dial should have been a bit higher up the pump but its ok I guess if you're of average height with good eyesight.
I can get my tires up to 100psi easy with this, although the last few pumps require a bit of effort for me, but hey I'm a skinny 140lbs.
It's green and puts high pressure psi into my tires. I am pleased it does so at reasonable cost. As you can move a pointer/bezel to your desired psi you will be able to see that as you are standing and pumping up tires.
Nice basic pump. Would be nicer if the gauge was on top for ease of viewing. The problem I have had with this pump is attaching the head so the air enters the tube. It might take a couple of tries to get past pumping up the hose but once it works it's smooth and easy.
This pump has been great for the year that I have owned it. For the money I paid for it I could get 2 more of the fancy ones. If your looking for something to get air into your tires and is also rebuildable this is the pump to get.
