It's thin but much warmer than expected. It's even warmer than a thicker Gore Infinium cap that I have. I wore it today in 1F cold (yes, one degree Fahrenheit) for a 13-mile ride, on top of a similarly thin balaclava and under a Giro snowboarding helmet. My head stayed plenty warm.

Excellent multi sport use hat/beanie. Great comfort without any itch and wide temperature compatibility. Wish they made this same fit in a thinner lighter weight, I.e. warmer weather version, as I would use either in many conditions.
