Pricey yes but you get what you pay for. Half the weight of the quick releases I replaced and I assume they won't rust or corrode like less expensive steel skewers. Not sure about the claimed aero benefits but any little bit helps! A little hard to get leverage on the slim levers but not a big deal. Make sure you don't clamp the levers down against the forkrear stays or it they be difficult to release. Overall, I'm happy with the Zipps and would recommend them to anyone wanting to drop a few grams and add some bling to your wheels!

Not Cheap, but very nice

These aren't cheap skewers, but I had just had a new set of wheels built so I decided to not spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar. The Skewers weigh a fraction less than the old Zip Titanium set I have and while I doubt the Aero style makes me any faster it looks cool and doesn't detract from the ergonomics of their use.

Yes they are just skewers and all the have to do is hold the wheel in place. And they do. They are light but not so light I worry about failure. They weigh half what my original skewers did. I really like how tney look, flashy yet functional. After all its the attention to detail.

Total eye candy

Mine came in at 56 grams. They are extremely nice. I have a set of the stainless as well and these are top shelf. I am sure there are lighter skewers out there but these are solid, I have no worries about failure. Zipp is quality.
