Description

Zipp Service Course Seatpost — Stiff and Light

The Zipp Service Course Seatpost is lightweight and strong for security and designed to offer a precise fit at an accessible price.

This aluminum seat post provides easy tool access to the downward facing bolt for easy setup and micro adjustments after it's mounted. Better fit means better performance to make you faster. An out-of-position saddle means wasted energy with every pedal stroke.

The secure, low-profile clamp allows the saddle to slide farther back along the rails, and with 0 mm and 20 mm setback options, it's possible for nearly any rider to achieve the perfect fit.

For high strength, low weight, and efficient use of every gram, the shaft and head are not bonded but are 3D-forged from 6061 aluminum. The Service Course Seatpost is 350 mm in length. Available in 27.2 or 31.6mm diameters and fits all common saddle rail types.

Features:

  • 2-bolt adjustability
  • 20mm and 0 offset versions
  • 350mm post length

  • B-Stock - This product has one or more B-Stock units available. These units can be purchased at a discount (see option select). B-Stock units were returned from other customers and may have missing or damaged packaging materials. These units are otherwise as new. The full manufacturer warranty applies. Zero setback not really zero

I should've looked closer when I bought it, but if you're looking at the zero setback post, I'd look elsewhere. The Zipp post is solid and I had no trouble with it (the clamp in particular is easy to adjust and set) but I swapped saddles and ran out of forward space. I switched to the Easton EA70, which is straighter and has a similarly elegant clamp.

Got this seatpost set-back to increase the feeling of lengthening-out to the handlebars when riding, and this did the job perfectly and completely changed how I felt on the bike, major upgrade!! The help with this at Western Bike Works was really outstanding, I purchased this feeling like I was getting the best thing for what my needs were.

    Modern aluminum seatpost

Nice and light, good bolting design, with deep recess for bolt head. Logo size could be more discrete, but otherwise a great alternative if you are in need of a silver seatpost.

    Nice looking, durability questionable

2-bolt posts are the ONLY way to go if you want to adjust your saddle's tilt exactly! As for this one, it goes nicely with my TI frame (and silver stem), despite not being an exact match. I'm not crazy about the placement of one of the bolts (inside the post clamp), which is difficult to access. And I'm concerned about durability: an allen wrench fits in rather loosely, as if the bolt is already stripped. (Especially since I'm always messing with my bike fit.)

Great post if you do not want to go carbon. Great price strong and stiff with the good clamp. I put it on my LOOK 765 gravel and it is great

I went with the Zipp since the Thomson wasn't available. Same type of adjustments and works well for the road bike for which it was intended. A little heavier, but currently not racing that bike.

Repainted and made some upgrades to my old road bike that I know use on my trainer primarily. Looks awesome with the other upgrades I made.

Not much to this review other than the seatpost is exactly as described and shown in the listing. Zipp makes a quality product and the silver looks good in a world that loves black cockpits.
