Crazy light

Super light weight, but not convinced it would work well on a MTB.

Painted Bling cages

Purchased a pair of red cages to dress up new ride, paint finish give lots of pop to a matte black CF frame. Downside is due to paint finish, your bottles will wear off the paint on certain areas of the cage. This is happening after less than a dozen uses. Minor nitpick but could shorten useful life, if you don't like the appearance.

The best bottle cages by far

The Zipp cages are light, VERY good looking and caress your bottles. No more working with your eyes off thee road to get the bottle out, the Zipp cages allow the bottle tho slide out easily, yet keep things secure even over railroad tracks at speed. I wish I'd gotten these years ago (but if I had, I wouldn't appreciate them as I do now).

Great lightweight carbon cage

I've had other carbon cages, but the Zipp cage is the lightest weight I have ever picked up. It is sturdy and the bottles are easy to put in and remove. Great buy for the money.

Ok, but maybe not worth the extra cost

I like the light weight of the cages but they do not hold the bottles securely. I use Camelbak water bottles and they will move around and rattle while riding.

Have had this Zipp bottle cage for 2 years, and purchased a second a month or so ago. Have had no problems with them. They're not cheap, but they are very light and (so far) durable, and fit securely without rattling or loosening.

I have packed bottles full of ice with this cage and have not lost one. Easy to grab bottles in and out, not a gorilla grip. Became discolored after a short period of time. Not a bad cage, just got tired of worrying about losing a bottle. Expensive. Zipp makes good products, but they could have done better....

Can not hold bottles with ice

Find another cage if you freeze your bottles or put ice in them. I was thought the brand and cost would mean quality, not this time.

Not good if doing 24oz with ice. The cage is not made for the weight.

Don't buy... Not a good cage for long rides with ice.

For being a Zipp product, these cages miss the mark. They don't seem to fit the bottle.

All of my friends recommended Zipp carbon cages as I have a tendency to ride on some rougher roads, and these cages, they said, would hold the bottle like a vise grip and not let go. Well, I was kind of surprised when I put my bottle in these cages and they were loose and flopping around inside. These cages were for another bike I built, and I have a set of Reynolds carbon cages on the other, and the Reynolds are way better than these. I was pretty surprised, considering how expensive they were and the Zipp brand. I ordered two of the cages, and they were both this way. It's almost like they were designed for the wrong size bottle.

Does the job as a light weight bottle cage but the paint color chips off easily, not sure why, I use typical water bottles.

Holds the bottle in better than other carbon cages

I use on my TT bike in back of the seat. Bottles have a tendency to fly out over bumps. This product holds the bottles in place better.
