The WTB Horizon tire combines comfort and a supple ride with a classic look for the road and the dirt.
The Horizon provides deceivingly svelte performance on pavement, with resilience that isn't shaken by chasing confidants down dusty roads. The Horizon creates a new riding experience, regardless of where your exploits lead you.
With the 650b wheel size, this 47 mm tire ends up creating a wheel diameter similar to 700 x 28-30 mm tires, making it possible to fit into some standard cyclocross and road frames. A dual DNA rubber compound and all-weather herringbone tread pattern makes the Horizon a solid performer on any surface in any riding conditions.
Take your tires to the next level with SG2
This version of the road-plus Horizon features WTB'sall-new SG2 puncture protection. This new protection layer is a lightweight, ultra-thin nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage to ensure all surfaces of the tire are provided with an additional level of defense against punctures.
Exactly how much more durable are they? Lab tests show the addition of the bead-to-bead SG2 puncture protection layer to a 120tpi casing provides 33% more sidewall protection and 17% more tread protection than the standard 60tpi offerings without SG2.
While SG2 is primarily a puncture protection layer, its tightly woven fibers also improve air retention, which prevents seeping at the sidewall and helps maintain pressure between rides.
- A versatile slick tire for your commuter, your adventure bike, and anything in between
- A supple 120tpi casing for supreme road-feel
- Added SG2 puncture protection for extra durability wherever the road takes you
- Tubless ready
