Pop Those Stubborn Tire Beads Into Place

Ever try to mount a tubeless tire and that stubborn bead just won't lock into the rim? Well if you have, we have a solution for you. Introducing the Topeak TubiBooster Tubeless Compressor — now a 2 in 1 design! This unique product works as a mini air compressor that allows any floor pump to compress air into this 1000cc aluminum air tank which quickly releases a high volume of air to mount tubeless bicycle tire beads. The aluminum TubiBooster head also works as a CO2 inflator and is compatible with Topeak threaded 16g/25g CO2 cartridges.

Features

  • Pump Head Compatibility: Presta pumps (if you attach this compressor to a regular floor pump)
  • Air Tank: One liter, Store up to 200 psi / 14 bar air pressure (Varies with the pump capacity) Working Pressure - 1800 psi / 124 bar
  • Added Feature: Compatible with Topeak threaded 16g / 25g CO2 cartridges, Includes one liter air chamber
  • Weight: 32 g / 1.13 oz (Inflator) 820 g / 1.81 lb (Air chamber)

Not enough discharge velocity to seat soft sidewall tubeless tires
    rating

This version of the tubibooster does not provide rapid enough decompression to seat used tires onto the rim. I'm sure that it would do a good job of seating NEW tires onto the rim, however, I've found that these can usually be seated by a hand pump anyways. However, the softer sidewalls of tires that have been previously used require a higher velocity discharge than this can supply. The lack of discharge velocity could be down to a couple issues: 1) the flexible hose or (more likely) 2) I was not able to engage the head without the valve core which could limit discharge velocity. I ended up seating the tires in question with a park tool shop inflator and a industrial air supply at work.
