Small seatpack but parge enough for essentials

I originally got this bag to match the Timbuk2 Goody Box Top Tube Bag so I can store more stuff in this bag. I found that I could store the bare essentials in this bag and not need any other storage for short rides. looks to stay firmly located under the seat if installed properly

I don't like the new bungee seat-post attachment

I like that it comes in white, and it's roomy enough to fit a tube, CO2 cartridge, CO2 inflator, tire levers, and an allen wrench set. I don't like the new bungee seat-post attachment. I can feel my thigh brush against the attachment with each pedal stroke, but even worse is that the attachment has left black marks on the seat-post.

Great Pack that fits under seat and isn't squished if you add seat stem bottle holders.

Great Pack that fits under seat and isn't squished if you add seat stem bottle holders. Lightweight and feels very durbale. Was able to fit a tube, co2 tank inflator and extra co2 tank, and wedges in it with no problem.

The right size for me

I have one of these for all my bikes (3). They are just the right size for me. It holds a multitool, patch kit, spare tube and tire irons easily with room to spare for optional items, like keys. Its very easy to mountdismount from under the saddle, and stays firmly in place.

Good pack, fits tight against saddle, issue with light attachment
rating
by Bikergram

A good small pack, holds multi-tool, spare tube, patch kit, levers with room left over for keys. Probably could squeeze in an extra tube with some work. I like the attachment system, which lets me get the pack nice and tight against the saddle - no swaying.

Downside - rear light attachment I thought it would be good at holding my rear light level and it does a good job of that. BUT, the material for the attachment is thin and the light's hook isn't very tight inside the attachment area. The light actually bounced off the other day on a bumpy road (pack is used only on a road bike, not off-road). I haven't done it yet, but I think I can wrap some electrical tape around the pack attachment material to provide a thicker attachment area. Other people have this pack and have no problem evidently. Maybe it's just my brand of light (Cygolite Hotshot SL 50).

Perfect in every way

This bag is great. It is made very well and functions nicely. I especially like the reflective back that you can slide a tail light into and it holds it tight. I've used other seat packs in the past that I always worried if I rode over a bump that I would lose my very expensive light and motion rear light. No worries anymore. The pack also attaches to the seat post very securely. Even going over repetitive bumps it has never moved when I checked it after arriving at my destination. The bungee hasn't seemed to give me any problems yet. Overall a great purchase.

really the smallest and most convenient of so many I have tried so far and I love the white color on a Titanium bike. Just enough room in it for all I need and makes long rides more pleasant because all I need is with me. I Love White on my Merlin

Perfectly designed little seat bag

Great shape, great attachment to the bike (especially the little elastic gizmo to attach it to the seat post). It's the perfect size - holds everything but stays small & compact.

Decent pack, but I'm sure there are better ones.

Pros - I like the reflective fabric on the back. The buckle straps are a huge improvement over their last model with just Velcro.

Cons- the shape is a little awkward. The sides taper down, so the deepest part of the bag is hard to fit things in. I guess this is true of most bags though. The elastic band that goes around the seatpost can rub your leg if you aren't careful. I have to spend some time to tuck in the end so it doesn't the inside of my leg while I pedal.

I've only used my small Timbuk2 XT for a few days. Unknown how it will hold up. It appears to be very well made. I searched high and low to find a replacement for my old Pedros small blowout bag and sadly they don't make them any longer. The Timbuk2 2 XT is a tad smaller then my old Blowout bag. I managed to squeeze everything it there accept one little bag that contained a spare Campy seat binder bolt and a couple of Wipperman Connex connecting links. I pack everthing I need for my rides in my jersey pockets, I only go to my saddle bag if I have a second flat (seldom). The two strap system (one strap for each saddle rail) allows you to get the bag nice and tight, no rattles. The elastic cord for the seat post is a snap to use. No velcro anywhere. The thing I have to remember is to opens the compartment of the bag before I pull off my rear wheel. I'm used to pulling off my old Blowout bag and pulling out my junk from there. As with most things in the bike world, I will probabaly end up liking this bag and when I go to buy a new one they won't be availabe anymore. If I like it, I should remind myself to buy a spare.

Nice Sack!

My old sack lived a good life, through tens of thousands of miles. Finally after sewing it and duct taping it over and over it was time to move on. I have wacky saddle rails (Selle SMP) so not every saddle bag works on my bike. So I needed a sack with minimal seat post rigging. The new attachment system worked perfectly. Since it's Timbuk2 I hope to get years out of my investment (my Timbuk2 messenger is almost 20 years old and still going!).
