Description

Titanium Performance, Thomspon Precision

If you're experienced with the quality of Thomson Masterpiece products, you'll know each one is truly a masterpiece. As an evolution of the groundbreaking Elite seatpost designed by Ronnie Thompson, the Titanium seatpost delivers precise adjustability and proven performance.

Durability is ensured with Ti hardware and a trusty alloy clamp, as well as everything you'd want in a modern titanium post. Super low-profile clamps mean no interference with the saddle as the swivel nuts are down between the seat rails. Impact-absorbing clamps in the seat post spread and flex on impact to protect the saddle, rails, and rider. The result allows the seat to survive heavy impact loads without bending the rails.

Thomson designs and materials go through extensive life and ultimate strength tests. Their ongoing testing program ensures that every production lot of seat posts meets the seriously aerospace bike geek Thomson standards.

Features:

  • Tilt adjustment from minus 5° and plus 29°
  • Super low profile clamps don't interfere with the saddle
  • Extensive life and ultimate strength tests on every material used
  • Impact-absorbing clamps allow the seat to survive heavy impact loads
  • Weight: ~285g for 410mm

I've used Thomson seat posts on all builds but this is the first titanium seat post I've used. It delivers on excellent quality and an improved ride through vibration dampening. It also looks great!

The Thomson titanium seatpost is a beautiful product from the finish to fit and function. The post itself has a high gloss shine. The contrast of the black seat clamp blends with the saddle rails seamlessly. The seat clamp makes it easy to mount the saddle and make fore to aft and fit adjustments. The seat clamp holds the saddle securely. The diameter of the post is precisely 27.2. Glad I spent the extra money.
