I replaced the original seat on a vintage Raleigh Marathon that I use to cruise casual 15 to 25 milers. To make a long story short, I am on the gel seat a lot more after replacing the original one. Bike technology has come a long way!
I bought one of these and in 4500 miles and 4 years it started to crack. The material dried out and cracked in the center section. I also have a another bike with a WTB seat around the same price and it is still going after 14000 miles and 4 years of service.
After spending a ton on saddles, and hurting after 20 or more miles, I tried the Terry in desperation. I am 64, and lost quite a bit of weight several years ago. I don't have much padding on my sit bones. Terry hit a home run on the Cite Y. This saddle is a keeper.
Not experimenting with other saddles will save me money. So it is a great value.
