The updated version of the iconic FLUX Smart trainer has been equipped with a bigger, stronger resistance unit and a heavier flywheel now weighing 7.6kg. This results in a wider simulation range with a more responsive and better ride feel which better replicates the experience of outdoor rides. This updated version also has increased power measurement accuracy which is key to tracking your performance and progress. In fact, not only is the FLUX 2 Smart trainer accurate to within 2.5%, it is able to realistically simulate inclines up to a 16% gradient. The beefier construction also reduces vibrations and noise levels to the absolute minimum while being able to handle a maximum sprint resistance of up to 2000 watts.
While it is possible to use the trainers passive power curve resulting in progressive resistance depending on the input pedal power, the real benefit of the FLUX 2 Smart trainer is in its electronics. The brain of this unit allows superior connectivity for a variety of popular applications. With its intuitive LED lights, the FLUX 2 provides a visual confirmation when the trainer is powered on and connected via ANT+ or Bluetooth device. A selection of bike computers and sports watches are also able to control the resistance of your Smart bike trainer. With the Tacx utility app (available for download from your favorite app store), it is possible to easily upgrade the firmware or to test and calibrate the trainer. The connectivity doesn't stop there, as the FLUX 2 trainer is also compatible with your favorite cycing software like Zwift, TrainerRoad and Sufferfest. The Tacx Smart trainers are easily connected to and controlled by most popular training apps. Race online in the virtual worlds of Zwift, achieve your cycling goals with the training plans of TrainerRoad, and much more. Tacx also has its own suite of software that allows you to explore the world with high quality films and GPS workouts while challenging your friends.
