Description

AXS Wireless Shifting For Shredding

Riders want a derailleur that shifts on command, whether under climbing load or sprinting to the stage finish. The GX Eagle AXS Rear Derailleur gets it done with everything you have come to expect from SRAM's AXS connect components.

The GX Eagle AXS derailleur is smart enough to protect itself thanks to its incredibly resilient Overload Clutch. Engineered with a variety of rider preferences in mind, it is compatible with SRAM's new expanded range 10-52t cassette as well as their 10-50t cassette. Showcasing its lineage from the proven GX Eagle mechanical line, the GX Eagle AXS derailleur is there for one thing - to do the job.

With Cage Lock technology in the GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur, wheel removal and installation—as well as chain installation—becomes faster and simpler. Just push the cage forward to create slack and lock it into place.

It also features "Roller Bearing Clutch Technology," which eliminates derailleur bounce and chain slap without sacrificing precision.

The GX Eagle AXS uses X-Horizon technology. This "straight parallelogram" design limits all movement to the horizontal axis, which makes ghost shifting impossible while also reducing shift force. For quicker, more exact shifting, the large upper pulley offset design maintains a constant chain gap across all gears.

The new standard for drivetrains is SRAM X-SYNC 1x chainrings, which provide the highest level of performance and durability. The GX Eagle AXS is perfectly compatible with X-SYNC. The SRAM X-SYNC tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle-shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC chainrings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-SYNC rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1x drivetrain.

Eagle technology represents SRAM's newest 1x drivetrain technology. Eagle is a lighter, simpler, more durable, and easier to use drivetrain. Eagle features all-new 1x components, engineered for even greater durability and performance while maintaining a significant weight advantage over other drivetrain solutions. Eagle technology also provides an expanded gear range of 520%, which is equal to 2x11 drivetrains.

AXS is SRAM's new bike component integration system that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, personalize controls, get maintenance reminders, and update firmware.

I have this GX AXS on a new mullet gravel rig and I love it. Super smooth shifting. Running it with Rival AXS levers and crankset. 42 front and 10-50 rear. Works so well for riding the steep. I'm 56yrs and the extra gear on the steep long 5hr rides is a requirement these days. I always bring and extra battery JIC.

I paired this derailleur with SRAM Rival shifters and worked well. No issues with shifting- shifting was sharp. There is a little bit of a lab shifting down to a harder gear.

I used it on road bike with 48t q-ring 11-50t cassette. 1x setup with both ends covered, I dont feel the jump is too big, sometimes I still do multi shift with terrain change
