For the modern road, gravel and cross rider.

The SRAM Force AXS XG-1270 Cassette takes the need for an extra cog within the 12-speed road group and completely innovates the gear ratio options. The Force XG-1270 allows for a wider range of gearing for the modern road, gravel and cyclocross rider thanks to the XDR driver body being paired with the mountain-bike inspired 10-tooth cog. It features X-Range gearing technology to provide more gradual progression between cogs while performing efficiently.

Features:

  • Designed specifically for electronic derailleurs for smoother and faster shifting.
  • Features at least five one-tooth jumps for a smoother gear progression.
  • Mini cluster construction reduces weight and increases durability.
  • 10-tooth start helps provide a wider gearing range.
  • Designed to work with an XDR driver body.

  • B-Stock - This product has one or more B-Stock units available. These units can be purchased at a discount (see option select). B-Stock units were returned from other customers and may have missing or damaged packaging materials. These units are otherwise as new. The full manufacturer warranty applies. Love the range and more even steps

SRAM AXS shifting has been something to get use to with the 13 tooth front chainring difference to the 12 speed cassette. With the 10-36 12 speed cassette I have the benefit of wide range gearing without sacrificing either high or low end. The steps are in just the right place and not too large. The 10-33 always bothered me with it's 5 tooth step between 33 and 28. The 10-36 never goes beyond a 4 tooth step. So it's like getting the 10-33 with an extra 36 gear. Very happy with the performance and smooth shifting.

Shifts great, super durable, and quite a bit cheaper than Red. Haven't had any issues in 2000 miles. Would recommend

Bigger Jumps On Most Used Cogs?

My LBS had a Jamis built up with Force eTap AXS, the Force 4633 chainrings and 10-33 cassette. I tested it on local hilly, paved roads. This cassette was quiet and smooth using the SRAM chain. What I noticed most was the easier cogs actually have bigger jumps compared to similar SRAM 11 or 10 speed cassettes. This cassette had spacing of 21-24-28-33 at the easy end, so jumps of 3, 4 and 5 teeth. My SRAM 10-speed 11-32 cassette runs 22-25-28-32, so jumps of 3, 3 and 4 teeth. I believe the SRAM 11-speed is the same. It felt less useful because the bigger jumps made it harder to find a comfortable gear for my desired cadence and actually fewer easy gearing choices.
